Wings of Remnant is a crossover between WoF and RWBY. Primarily owned by Forge.
This crossover is a work in progress and will be subject to heavy changes as the members discuss how things should behave.
WARNING: The following page contains content that might spoil the story line of RWBY. You have been warned!
WoR is set on Pyrrhia, the world (and largest continent) of Wings of Fire. Dragons remain the dominant species, and are fighting what is essentially a stalemate war against the monsters known as Grimm.
Pyrrhia is the primary continent, with Pantala acting as a secondary, much smaller continent.
All ten dragon tribes are present, but the three Pantalan tribes are treated similar to RWBY's faunus: Looked down upon, ostracized. Due to their closer resemblance to Pyrrhia tribes, some LeafWings are able to pose as a Pyrrhian dragon in an attempt to live a "normal" life. The Hive and SilkWings have no such opportunity.
Hybrids between Pyrrhian tribes are extremely common, enough so that there are a mere handful of families left that can trace their lineage back through history without encountering any different tribes.
Special Powers[]
Special powers that are a part of WoR.
Removed Powers[]
All removed powers are part of legends, going far back into the hazy past; Dragons whose scales were fire, dragons that could see hundreds of years into the future, dragons that could spit highly acidic venom that corroded all it came in contact with. Mere legends, of course. Fairy tales for dragonets, nothing more.
These powers are not part of WoR, except for the time period before the Brother of Darkness wiped the earth clean.
- Moonborn powers (Futuresight, Mindreading)
- Firescales
- Blood-red eggs
- Animus powers
- As a power that was passed on genetically, Animus magic died out with the temporary disappearance of the draconic race. Salem and Ozma's WoR equivalents are the two remaining dragons with Animus magic.
- Breath weapons (Fire breath, Ice breath, RainWing venom)
Auras[]
See Aura.
Semblances[]
See Semblance.
Silver-Eyed Warrior[]
Silver eyes are a trait restricted to dragons of NightWing descent. Those with silver eyes can utilize them to petrify, blind, or vaporize Grimm. They may also temporarily halt powers of certain Grimm, such as the Apathy.
The power of untrained Silver-Eyed Warriors are typically activated upon encountering intense distress, for example when something they care strongly about is in great danger. Those trained in their use can activate the power at-will. Regardless of how trained a Silver-Eyed Warrior is their power can only be activated in the presence of Grimm.
Kingdoms[]
There are four kingdoms — Atlas, Mistral, Vacuo, and Vale — on the Pyrrhia continent. These four kingdoms house dragons from all tribes, including Pantalan ones. A technical fifth, Menagerie, is situated on the Pantalan continent. Though a fair amount of Pantalan dragons live on Pyrrhia as well, Menagerie is home to the vast majority of the Pantalan tribes as it's one of few places they have guaranteed safety.
Atlas[]
Atlas is in the far north-west on the "head" of the Pyrrhian continent (previously the Ice Kingdom).
Cities[]
- Atlas
- Atlas is the floating capital city of the Kingdom of Atlas and resides above Mantle. The "nobility" of Atlas live in Atlas City.
- Mantle
- Mantle is the primary city of Atlas, serving as the workhorse for the city that floats above it. The "commoners" of Atlas live in Mantle.
- While it provides homes and jobs to far more citizens than Atlas does, Mantle is starved for resources.
- Argus
- A port city of Atlas, it sits on an island on the north coast of Mistral.
Academies[]
Atlas Academy is the huntsman academy of Kingdom of Atlas, and unlike the other academies is part of the government of Atlas.
Mistral[]
Mistral is in the north-eastern third of Pyrrhia (Previously the Sky and Mud Kingdoms). Mistral's academy is inside the city of Mistral, and is called Haven Academy.
Cities[]
- Mistral
- Mistral is the capital city of the Kingdom of Mistral and is built between two mountains on the east side of the Claws of Clouds Mountains. The higher up one goes on the mountains, the nicer the housing becomes.
Academies[]
Haven Academy is Mistral's Huntsman Academy and is in Mistral City.
Mistral maintains a combat school known as Sanctum Academy that is on the west side of the Claws of Clouds Mountains.
Vacuo[]
Vacuo is in the south-western third of Pyrrhia (Previously the Sand Kingdom and parts of the Sky Kingdom). Vacuo's is Huntsman Academy is Shade Academy, Coquina Oscuro
Cities[]
There are no a major cities in Vacuo. A few minor towns are dotted about the desert situated beside the oases. The largest settlements are placed around the combat school and huntsmen huntsmen academy.
Vale[]
Vale is in the south-eastern corner of the Pyrrhian continent (previously the Rain and Sea Kingdoms). Vale's Huntsman Academy is Beacon, and is the only kingdom with two Primary Combat Schools: Signal Academy and Pharos Academy.
Cities[]
- Vale
- Vale is the primary city of the Kingdom of Vale and its capital city.
Academies[]
Beacon Academy
Vale has two Combat Schools, Signal Academy and Pharos Academy. Signal Academy is situated on the large island south of the Rain Forest. Pharos Academy is on the "tail" of the Pyrrhia.
Menagerie[]
Menagerie is on the smaller continent of Pantala.
Cities[]
Given how uninhabitable Pantala is there is only one city there, Kuo Kuana.
- Kuo Kuana
- Kuo Kuana is the capital and only city of Menagerie. Home to almost exclusively Pantalan tribes, Kuo Kuana is one of few places in the world where they can feel safe.
- The majority of residents are there because they're tired of constant clashing with the Pyrrhian tribes. As such, most are uninterested in being a part of anything that might bring conflict to their home.
Changes[]
Changes from canon Wings of Fire[]
- Scavengers don't exist or are more animal like. If they exist they have Auras like all animals, but don't have control over them or their Semblances.
- Pantala is a much, much smaller continent and is home to a single kingdom, Menagerie.
Fanon tribes note: When WoR was originally designed fanon tribes weren't taken into account. You're more than welcome to use fanon tribes in WoR, but it's up to you to decide if your OC is a faunus or not.
As a general guideline, the less similar the tribe's visual appearance is to the canon Pyrrhian tribes, the more likely it is that they're a faunus.
Changes from canon RWBY[]
- As the characters are dragons, most weapons augment talon-based combat instead of being things like swords or axes. For aerial combat guns and/or bows might be used (since you have both front legs available for using the weapon, unlike on the ground where they're used for standing) but talon-based combat is still favored.
- A sizable portion of WoR character designs place the weapon on the tail.

Terminology[]
Aura[]
An aura is the manifestation of a one's soul. The specific powers an aura provides differs be person, but two traits remain in common across everyone: Everyone with the ability to use their aura can heal themselves and absorb damage from hits.
It does have a limit though, so you can't perpetually absorb damage. Each person's aura is a different color.
Dust[]
Dust is a highly explosive type of crystal and is WoR's main source of energy.
Faunus[]
In RWBY Faunus are one of two intelligent species in RWBY (the other being humans). They resemble humans, but have animal features.
In WoR Faunus is the term used for Pantalan tribes.
Grimm[]
The Creatures of Grimm are soulless monsters that inhabit all but the most civilized parts of the world, feeding off of negative emotions: fear, anger, sadness, and so on. These monsters take the forms of large animal-like creatures. Twisted wolves, massive snakes, and some even bare a striking resemblance to dragon-kind. Further reading
Semblance[]
A Semblance is the projection of one's aura and is unique to the individual. Semblances give the user a "special power". In a few rare cases Semblances are hereditary, as is the case in the IceWing family Schnee.
