If your nomination thread is unsuccessful, you must wait a minimum of four months before creating an new thread.

Nomination threads must be made on the Promotions and Demotions category in Discussions.

Provided a nomination thread meets all requirements for the role, the thread will be highlighted and after seven days it will be reviewed. If the thread has the required number of votes the nominated user will be promoted.

Requirements that are "must"s need to be met before a user can be nominated for a position. Creation of a nomination thread without meeting the "must" requirements for the role will cause your thread to be closed. Requirements that are "should"s will ideally be met by nominated user, but are not required.

General Requirements
  • The user must abide by Fandom's Terms of Use
  • The user must have been active on the wiki for at least six months
  • The user must have the support of at least one moderator of equal or greater rank
  • The user's nomination thread must be at least 75% support votes
Apprentices
  • The user should meet all the general requirements
  • The user must be chosen by existing moderators (they cannot be nominated by themself or other users)
Thread Moderator
  • The user must meet all the general requirements
  • The user must have hosted at least two roleplays
  • The user must possess at least 1500 edits within the main or category namespaces
  • The user must possess at least 2000 posts (comments, discussion posts and replies, and message wall posts and replies)
  • The user should regularly report rule-breaking and/or miscategorized Discussions posts
Content Moderator
  • The user must meet all the general requirements
  • The user must possess at least 2500 edits within the main or category namespaces
  • The user should possess a general knowledge of how the wiki works.
Administrator
  • The user must have been a thread or content moderator for at least three months
  • The user should possess a good understanding of how the wiki works and be comfortable explaining things to new users.
  • The user must have been present on the wiki for at least twenty-four months and active for at least eighteen of them
  • The user must possess at least 5000 edits within the main or category namespaces
  • The user's nomination thread must be at least 80% support votes and have the support of at least half of the active moderator team, as well as at least one administrator or bureaucrat.
Bureaucrat
  • The user must have been an administrator for at least twelve months
  • The user must have shown an acute understanding of all areas of the wiki and of Discussions
  • The user must have been present on the wiki for at least thirty months and active for at least twenty-two of them
  • The user must possess at least 8000 edits within the main or category namespaces
  • The user's nomination thread must be at least 80% support votes and have the support of all active moderators.
Previously Banned

If the user has been banned in the past they must meet additional requirements.

  • The user must have been unbanned for a length of time equal to their original ban
  • The user must have the support of three moderators of equal or greater rank

Notes

  • Any user may nominate any other user (including themself) for a position. A user who has been nominated by someone else may refuse their nomination thread for any reason
  • The moderation team reserves the right to close a nomination thread for any of the following reasons:
    • The user does not meet the requirements for the role they have been nominated for;
    • The role is already "full" (that is, existing moderators do not need additional help); or
    • The moderator team deems the user otherwise unfit for moderator duties.
