General Categories
- Adoptable
- This category is used for characters, fanfictions, or projects that are up for adoption.
- Candidates for Deletion
- Use this category if you would like to nominate a page for deletion.
- Collaborations
- This category is for pages made in collaboration with two or more users.
- Joke Pages
- This category is for pages that aren't meant to be serious. Please use this category in moderation.
- Public
- Public pages can be changed and edited by anyone.
- Work in Progress
- Use this page to mark that your page is incomplete.
- Do not use this category for incomplete fanfictions. Use Fanfictions (Incomplete) instead.
Content
Content categories allow users to group all of their pages together. For example, Content (Heliosanctus) holds all of Heliosanctus's pages and Content (Wings-of-Bloodfire) holds all of Wings-of-Bloodfire's pages.
Any user may create a content category, but only if they have at least 5 pages to put in it.

Fanfiction Pages
All fanfictions should have the Fanfictions category. They may also have a canon-compatibility, a completion, a genre, a content category, and any appropriate history categories.
- Fanfictions
- This category is for all fanfictions.
Canon-Compatibility
- Fanfictions (Canon)
- This category is for fanfictions that don't break anything established as canon.
- Fanfictions in this category should only use canon tribes.
- Fanfictions (Semi-Canon)
- This category is for fanfictions that break some established canon, but could still take place in the canon universe.
- Shipfics between canon couples is often a good example.
- Fanfictions (Fanon)
- This category is for fanfictions that use fanon tribes/settings, take place in alternate universes, and so on.
Completion
- Fanfictions (Incomplete)
- This category marks that a fanfiction is not finished.
- These pages should NOT use the Work in Progress category.
- Fanfictions (Completed)
- This category marks fanfictions that are completed.
Genres
These categories are meant to label the type of fanfiction, style or form-wise.
- Genre (Adventure)
- This category is for stories that involve going on a journey, exploring new places, and facing danger.
- Genre (Comedy)
- This category is for stories that focus on humor and are meant to amuse the reader.
- Genre (Comic)
- This category is for stories that are told through comic form.
- Genre (Epistolary)
- This category is for stories that are told through a series of in-story notes or documents and contain no outside dialogue.
- Genre (Horror)
- This category is for stories that are meant to scare, terrify, or induce fear into the reader.
- Genre (Mystery)
- This category is for stories that focus on a situation (such as a crime, death, or disappearance) that needs to be solved.
- Genre (Poetry)
- This category is for stories that are told through a form of poetry. Examples include sonnets, haikus, ballads, etc.
- Genre (Prophecy)
- This category is for stories that involve a prophecy throughout most of the story.
- Genre (Romance)
- This category is for stories that focus on a romantic relationship between two or more characters.
- Genre (Short Story)
- This category is for stories that can be read in one sitting.
- Genre (Tragedy)
- This category is for stories that involve the main character's downfall or failure at the end.

Character Pages
All character pages should have a characters category, a gender category, and a tribe category. Pages should also have a content category, an occupation, a residence, a status, and others where applicable.

- This category is for all fan-made characters.
Gender
- Males
- This category is for all male characters.
- Females
- This category is for all female characters.
- Non-binary
- This category is for all characters who aren't male or female.
Tribe
Thes categories mark which tribe your character is from. If your character is a hybrid, add the categories for each of their parents' tribes and the Hybrids category.

- Tribeless
- This category is for all dragons who are not from any official tribe.
- Tribeless dragons can only be used in roleplay if it is allowed by the roleplay host.
- Humans
- This category is for all humans.
- Hybrids
- This category is for all dragons who are children of dragons from different tribes.
- A hybrid character gets categories from each of their tribe pages.
Occupations
These categories are used to mark a character's occupation.
- Occupation (Agriculture)
- Characters who grow and harvest food, raise livestock, or otherwise produce agricultural output.
- Examples are divers, hunters, farmers, fruit-gatherers, and loggers.
- Occupation (Archivist)
- Characters who collect, organize, and preserve information and records.
- Examples include archival workers, historians, and librarians.
- Occupation (Artisan)
- Characters whose occupations are related to utilitarian art, trades, or crafts; craftspeople.
- Examples are cartographers, blacksmiths, jewelers, weavers, and woodworkers.
- Occupation (Artist)
- Characters whose occupations are related to creating art.
- Examples include illustrators, painters, and sculptors.
- Occupation (Assassin)
- Characters who commit murder for political or monetary reasons.
- Examples include contract killers and hitmen.
- Occupation (Athlete)
- Characters who participate in a physical sport or activity, especially professionally.
- Examples include racers, sports players, and tree gliders.
- Occupation (Caretaker)
- Characters who raise or care for other dragons, most commonly dragonets.
- Examples include daycare workers, hatchery workers, and wingery workers.
- Occupation (Cook)
- Characters who prepare food or drinks.
- Examples are bakers, baristas, bartenders, and chefs.
- Occupation (Criminal)
- Characters whose work violates the law.
- Examples include black-market merchants, crime bosses, thieves, and smugglers.
- Occupation (Government)
- Characters who work for the government of a city or kingdom.
- Examples include advisors, ambassadors, governors, and mayors.
- Occupation (Healer)
- Characters who are trained to care for injuries or ailments (physical or mental).
- Examples include doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, therapists, and veterinarians.
- Occupation (Merchant)
- Characters who handle the transaction or exchange of goods or services.
- Examples include cashiers, hired help, travelling merchants, and store owners.
- Occupation (Mystic)
- Characters who interact with or create magical, spiritual, or supernatural entities or objects, especially professionally.
- Examples include fortune tellers, ghost hunters, and spellcasters.
- Occupation (Performer)
- Characters who perform to entertain others, especially professionally.
- Examples include actors, comedians, mimes, musicians, and street performers.
- Occupation (Scientist)
- Characters who conduct research, study, invent, or experiment to learn more about the world or solve problems.
- Examples include archaeologists, astronomers, botanists, inventors, and any other branch of scientist.
- Occupation (Soldier)
- Characters who are trained in and engage in combat.
- Examples include army soldiers, commanders, generals, guards, and mercenaries.
- Occupation (Spy)
- Characters who conduct espionage and reconnaissance to acquire knowledge secretly, especially professionally.
- Examples include double agents, informants, and spies.
- Occupation (Staff)
- Characters who are employed to others. May be used alongside other occupations, or on its own.
- Examples include butlers, maids, servants, and workers.
- Occupation (Student)
- Characters who are full- or part-time students.
- Examples include students attending academies, apprenticing under professionals, or receiving instruction from a mentor.
- Occupation (Teacher)
- Characters who instruct or teach others, especially professionally.
- Examples include instructors, professors, and teachers.
- Occupation (Traveler)
- Characters who travel or explore as a profession or alongside another career.
- Examples include wandering merchants, explorers, and travelers.
- Occupation (Writer)
- Characters who spend a significant amount of time writing, especially professionally.
- Examples include authors, novelists, and poets.
- Occupation (Other)
- Characters whose occupations do not match any of the other categories.

Statuses
Status categories are categories based on a character's social status.
- Status (Celebrity)
- Characters who are well-known and popular in-universe.
- Status (Commoner)
- Characters who live in a kingdom and don't have the Status (Celebrity), Status (Nobility) or Status (Royalty) categories.
- Status (Exiled)
- Characters who have been exiled from their kingdom.
- Status (Leader)
- Characters who are leaders of organizations or other groups of dragons. This category should not be used with Category:Status (Royalty).
- Status (Legend)
- Characters who have stories told about them, whether real or mythical.
- Status (Nobility)
- Characters who are members of a kingdom's upper class.
- Status (Prodigy)
- Characters who were highly talented from a young age.
- Status (Rebel)
- Characters who are rebels or involved in rebellions.
- Status (Royalty)
- Characters who are members of a kingdom's royal family. This category should not be used with Category:Status (Leader).

Fame, authority, and nobility are social concepts, so celebrities, leaders, and royalty are considered statuses. Note that kings and queens should not have the Status (Leader) category.
Subtypes
Subtype categories are categories for tribe subtypes.
- Subtype (Fireproof)
- Characters with fire-resistant scales.
- Subtype (Firescale)
- Characters with firescales.
- Subtype (Flamesilk)
- Characters with flamesilk.
- Subtype (Frostscale)
- Characters with frostscales.
- Subtype (Leafspeak)
- Characters with leafspeak.
- Subtype (Moonborn)
- Characters with prophetic and telepathic abilities.
- Subtype (Spark)
- TempestWing characters who are sparks.

Other Character Categories
- Animus
- This category is for characters who possess animus magic.
- Animus Touched
- This category is for characters who have had animus spells placed upon them.
- Artificially Created
- This is an umbrella category for all characters created or altered in an artificial way. For example, a character created artificially through either animus or lab-related occurrences would fall into this category.
- If the alteration is reversible (such as a curse that can be broken), the character should not be put in this category.
- Deceased
- This category is for characters who are no longer alive.
- Disabled
- This category is for disabled characters.
- Dragonets
- This category is for dragons that are less than seven years old.
- Dragonsonas
- This category is for characters made by users to represent themselves and are often very personal.
- LGBT+
- This category is for characters that are members of sexual and/or gender minorities (i.e., not heterosexual and/or cisgender).
Tribe Pages
- Tribes (Official)
- This category is for all canon tribes and official fanon tribes.
- Tribes (Canon)
- This category is for all tribes from the canon Wings of Fire series.
- Tribes (Fanon)
- This category is for all fanon tribes. Both official and unofficial fanmade tribes should be in this category.
Location
- Tribes (Pyrrhian)
- This category is for all official Pyrrhian tribes.
- Tribes (Pantalan)
- This category is for all official Pantalan tribes.
Blog Pages
- Blog posts
- This category marks all blog posts and is automatic.
- You can make a blog post here!
Other Page Categories
- Alternate Universes
- This category is for all AUs.
- Galleries
- This category is for all gallery pages.
- Groups
- This category is for all groups, factions, and organizations.
- Inspired by Fiction
- This category is for pages that are based off of works of fiction.
- Places
- This category is for all places of significance in the Wings of Fire world. For example, popular restaurants, cities, and fan continents all get this category.
- Miscellaneous
- This category is for any page which does not fit into any other category type.
- If it is not a fanfiction, character, group, or place, this category applies.
