Every three months, the moderator team deletes all pages under 2500 bytes to keep clear out stubs and free up page names. The batch deletes occur on the first Monday of January, April, July, and October, unless that date coincides with a wiki holiday. Any delays in the schedule will be mentioned in our newsletter.
2024 | 2025 | |
---|---|---|
January | January 1st, 2024 | January 6th, 2025 |
April | April 8th, 2024 | April 7th, 2025 |
July | July 1st, 2024 | July 7th, 2025 |
October | October 7th, 2024 | October 6th, 2025 |
After the batch delete is over, the moderator team will create a post in the News and Announcements board where users may request the restoration of deleted pages.
If the moderator team has already restored a page twice under your ownership, they will not restore the page a third time. You may request that the moderator team place the character's content on a blog post or user subpage to allow you to continue developing it.
You can enable the Byte Checker gadget in your preferences to easily check the size of your pages. Please note that the following items are not counted towards a page's total byte size.
- Coding (HTML/CSS)
- Images
- Categories
- Excessive empty lines or spaces
- Filler text such as lorem ipsum or zalgo
Subpages and pages in any of the following categories are excluded from the batch delete entirely.
FAQ
- How do I check the byte count of a page?
The moderator team uses the Byte Checker gadget to check if a page meets the byte requirement. If you are on a mobile device, you may need to view Fandom in desktop mode to make these changes.
Please note that the Byte Checker cannot check if a page contains filler text—any filler text will be included in the total byte count, which may be misleading. - How do I find my deleted pages?
You can find a list of all the pages you've created (including deleted pages) by going to Special:Log. From here, select "Page creation log" from the dropdown and type your full username in the "Performer" section. After this, click the button that says "Show" and you'll see a log of all your pages. - What if someone creates a new page over one of my deleted pages?
If you request a restoration of a page within the first two weeks after its deletion and someone else has already taken that page name, we will move their page and restore yours. If someone has taken your page name after two weeks, we will recover your content, but you will have to create a new page.
