Williwaw is an IceWing marked with the symbol of Ouranous, and gifted with wind powers. Xe works as a fisher in the South of the Queendom Glacielle.

Appearance

Rather thin and sickly looking this IceWing is not of the large variety, being shorter than most of the Chosen Ones. Silvery blue back scales are typical for IceWings, but their lower part is more sandy in colour. Maybe it was a result of not growing up in the correct place, that is not the Sand Kingdom, maybe it was just a rare mutation. After all the princesses had rather unusual shades too. The scales are shimmering in the sunlight, producing an interesting effect. The spikes and horns have the colour of the cloudy winter sky, a light blue leaning more to being grey. Williwaw's eyes are differently coloured - Their right eye being a strong shade of blue - not unusual. The other eye is coloured green though it is leaning more to blue. Across their whole body Williwaw displays scars, which they prefer to keep covered by warm cloths, however the one on their left cheek, and the one above their right eye are not as easy to hide without the entire face. Their one wing is chronically injured, making it nearly impossible to fly.

Personality

Tranquility and peace - that's the energy this dragon gives off. They aren't very talkative, however they are an extrovert, and enjoy being around others. Williwaw cares for others more than themselves, readily assisting those in need, and accepting every request. They're easily excitable and often laugh at bad jokes. Somewhat of a dreamer they have the tendency to get lost in thoughts, and love to think about possible futures. Pretty whimsical around those they know well other dragons quite enjoy their presence. They can be uptight sometimes, and are generally careful to not get into some really bad situations. Willi isn't someone who dwells too much on the past, and therefore easily forgives someone. Sometimes too easily.

A freedom loving dragon they don’t really like to stop others from doing certain things as it may seem like Willi would be taking their freedom. The same way they do not like when their freedom to do something gets taken. Of course they are a dragon that follows rules and would never do something outright illegal. Though they are a good dragon Willi is also rather lazy.

Abilities

  • Aerokinesis: Will has control over the winds and can make them change direction, command them to become stronger or weaker, and regulate their temperatures although only to a certain degree. Using the winds they can fly even though they're physically incapable to. They can conjure up storms and hurricanes. Instead of the regular frostbreath a very cold wind comes from their mouth, so cold it could even freeze things.
  • Cold Resistance:

Relationships

Spacedust

  • Friend/Ally || Positive

As the only transgender dragon that Williwaw knows, they as someone, who is questioning their own gender, look for advice from Dusty. Spacedust also gives them assurance that nothing is really wrong with them - well at least regarding their gender. However, that's sort of where their connection ends. Though on surface appearing as nice and such, Dusty doesn't seem to very much enjoy other dragon's presence, and there is always that feeling as if he is hiding an intense amount of feelings.

Astrape

  • Friend || Positive

Another fellow marked dragon with odd superpowers. Astra is a really good dragoness - brave, generous, helpful - clearly a great role model (ok, maybe not, she's younger than Will too), and an amazing friend, who is always there for you.

Princess Seafoam

  • Friend || Positive

Buran

  • Father || Positive

Revontulet

  • Brother? || Positive

Synopsis

In the farthest northern part of the Ice Kingdom, where it is night for half of a solar cycle, a dragonet with unusual colouring was hatched. On the day of their hatching lights where dancing across the skies. This dragonet was seen as blessed with good looks, intelligence, and fortune.

Just few years later the same family awaited yet another child. Once again those same lights decorated the skies. Dragons read this as yet another omen. A second dragonet under polar lights. They were right that something about this one was special. On their right hindtalon the dragonet had an odd birthmark. The parents understood what this meant.

News about the marked dragonet spread like wildfire. Not only was the IceWing queen notified, but even beyond their country in the Kingdom of Sand some were aware of yet another dragonet of the marked prophecy had hatched.

As those dragonets were said to have incredible powers there were more than enough people, who wanted to use those for their own good.

Williwaw's happy childhood was short. Dragons had treated them well, and the queen offered protection to the dragonet. All well and good.

Nobody would have thought that other dragons could go to the cold north. Even SkyWings and SeaWings, who were more resistant to the cold would at some point not be able to take the cold anymore. Yet somehow someone managed to do this seemingly impossible task. They entered the Ice Kingdom, and kidnapped the chosen dragonet. Williwaw was too young to respond properly to that. Their kidnapper was even larger than their parents, so what could a baby IceWing do.

After that everything was bad. The kidnapper had been working alongside the SandWings, so Williwaw lived in the sandy desert now. Way too hot, and way too sandy. The captors weren't nice dragons either, treating the poor dragonet horribly.

Even though they lived among many dragons, none if which looked like them, and went to a normal school, the dragonet's freedom was limited, their wings always chained up, taking their ability of flight. The adults expected something special from Will, but at that time the dragonet had not their powers manifested, being nothing but a regular child.

It wasn't rare for Williwaw's "caretakers" to use violence on the dragonet. When they did something wrong, when they weren't doing as told, even when they simply were there doing nothing, the SandWing bandits didn't hold back.

In all this Will wasn't alone. There was another dragonet, though seemingly a SandWing like the captors, yet different. The two became friends. A small ray of hope in this whole thing.

More than once Williwaw wanted to give up. They could never be free, their wings having lost the ability to fly, their talons bound to chains. But their friend always tried to give the IceWing dragonet hope.

Hope can in the form of a dragon. One night he just appeared. He was almost fully black, but his eyes along with some scales stood out strongly. One moment later corpses were everywhere. There were shouts and screams. The night dragon broke Williwaw's chains and told them: "Rise, little dragonet! Use the winds for yourself!"

Confusing words, that at the same time felt so familiar. Williwaw didn't understand all that well what the black dragon meant, yet it felt like they knew.

As the dragon imagined themselves drifting in the sky like a cloud, the wind started to lift them up. Even if their wings didn't work they could fly. Their friend followed them into the skies. The SandWings tried to do so too, but the wind pushed them down. Together the dragonets were blown far away from the town, never to return, all their past left behind. The two travelled north. Finally they were free.

Williwaw wanted to return to where they had come from, but there was a problem. Although their friend, who turned out to be a hybrid, was rather tough and could take some lower temperatures, she wouldn't be able to stay for very long, nor go very far. Eventually she decided to stay behind, while Willi will try to find their family. Some day they will meet again, and explore the world. They would flee to the third continent, far away from the greedy dictatorship that had taken over a third of Pyrrhia. Eventually Willi agreed, leaving behind the one dragon they had ever trusted. But hopefully only good awaited them.

Indeed the IceWings were rather glad to have the dragonet back, although they looked rather odd, and their powers were mysterious. This dragonet was also their hope. The Endama[2] was trying to take over more of the IceWing territory. Right now it was the harsh winter that held them back, and they probably would not take over the most northern part, but it was just a matter of time until they find a way to even get that.

The one who helped Will return to their family was the queen. Sure she might be coming off as cold, but she wasn't that heartless. Soon the family would be reunited. This event was much sadder than expected though. Will remembered their friend, waiting for them, but Will's family, of course, did not want to lose their child again. The queen and family decided to send a messenger to the friend, alongside with compensation, but the gift never arrived, and Will's friend was gone.

The following years Williwaw had lived like a rather normal IceWing, working as a fisher, while training their powers too, waiting for the next Millenium to come. Some day they would have to defeat the Endama. And after that they wanted to explore the world with their friend. But where was she? Williwaw set on the third continent, hoping their friend was there. They wouldn't go there now, because they didn't want to upset their parents, but soon in the future. They would have to go eventually anyway, but until then it was still a few years. Enough time for their friend to completely disappear, but also enough to prepare for the fulfilment of the prophecy.

Trivia

  • Williwaw is a type of cold wind common in Alaska.
  • Will is acceptable. Willi maybe if you're a friend. Waw is only for friends.
  • Gender is ????
  • IceWing because space is cold, and polar lights usually happen near the poles. Also there is a desert image and Antarctica is a desert. I used the desert image for the colouration.
  • Will used to watch Natter's cooking show before it was cancelled.
  • WAH!!
  • Clouds and Birds symbolise freedom.

  1. They are using the term Panromantic currently, but it feels like they're only attracted to female and feminine leaning dragons. They are not sure what the term for that would be. Possibly they are trixic.
  2. The Endama is a sort of 'Organization', that is taking over Pyrrhia, making citizens join it by brainwashing them. They have rather strict rules, and harsh punishment for those who go against it.
