a plague of mortarwings upon ye
- pro/nouns
- gender idk. i'll figure it out. i always figure out these things later
- firstborn child of Sanguine-Bluff, sibling to Ink-Shard but the two don't talk anymore. for some reason i can't imagine why.
Appearance[]
Red brown fur, like mother. Tinged black on the edges of their limbs, like mother. A white, thin star sits on their forehead, like mother. Their fur feathers around their talons, white scatters over their pelt, and their eyes are a pale blue. Like her, except not quite.
Their fur is darker, browner, not as bright. White paints their front right leg and underbelly and patterns their wings, but spares the rest. Their mane is black, solid, without the streaks of cream their mother had. They let it flow frizzly and free, cut short but unrestrained. And their horns are much less complex, a simple two branches on each, reminiscent of a pronghorn. And their eyes tilt greener, a gentler shade of blue. And they are not quite like her and that makes them different from her and they are not her and they were never like her at all.
They might have grown to be towering and large, if stress and shame hadn't pulled them back, made them smaller and closer to themself. They wear amber beads and homemade fabrics, flowers fitting for the season always tucked behind an ear. Their smile is warm and gentle, though a little awkward, on a face not yet used to expressing it.
The legacy of Whet-Stone's family will always follow them.
Personality[]
- quiet generally
- rather reserved? always very careful about choosing their words, very gentle in general
- a good storyteller though. all that goes out the window when they start getting into the drama of the tale
- kind. so kind so thoughtful about everything
- still a little afraid? learned to accept and distance themself from who their mother was but that weight never leaves
- likes hobbies that involve their talons but give them time to think
Backstory[]
Whet-Stone was born under the name Grandiose-Moolooite, a fanciful name Sanguine-Bluff chose for her firstborn. They grew up immersed in the glory of Blood-stone's empire, always watching the battlefields with a rapt interest until some adult in Bluff's troop noticed their presence and shuffled them away to safety.
- has lived a long and complicated life but trying their best for reals
Relationships[]
Sanguine-Bluff: Complicated.
Ink-Shard: Also complicated but in a more positive way?
