Appearance[]
A small, chubby dragonet with smooth, round scales that have a sort of matte tone compared to the usual gem-like iridescent scales of most SeaWings; if you were to compare their scales to shimmering sapphire or emerald, hers are more of a smooth polished granite or something along those lines. She’s got a pigment mutation that nullified any blue tones in her scales, leaving her brown rather than purple, and she’s frequently mistaken for a mudwing because of this, despite the rest of her physicality clearly showing otherwise.
Personality[]
As a result of her sheltered upbringing, while she’s quite extroverted and friendly, she has terrible people skills and she can be rather self-absorbed sometimes, especially in relation to her appearance (cause her parents, again still scared of her being self-conscious, praised her for her scales a lot). She’s very kind and well-intentioned, but very naive, and because she doesn’t understand a lot of things in common society or have a good grasp on social cues, she frequently ends up screwing things up when she tries to help. Also because of how sheltered she was, she spent most of her time underwater in her parents' home around the Deep Palace, and as a result, while she’s very proficient in aquatic, she hasn’t much practice in regular dragon and has a slight speech impediment in it, as well as just being somewhat clumsy in her wording.
Backstory[]
Essentially a miracle dragonet, Trout was the first of her parents' egg to hatch, due to a tendency to weakness in the others' shells that made them prone to fracturing under the water pressure, similar to how the sometimes paper-thin eggs of many other tribes are but unlike most other SeaWing ones, which are built to withstand it. She was very much spoiled and loved simply due to this, but another blatantly visible disparity between her and most other SeaWing dragonets was the colour of her scales, which led her parents to worry and fear for her mental health being affected by it. Because of the mutation in her scale pigments, her parents kept her very isolated and sheltered as a younger dragonet and only let her interact with other pre-approved noble dragonets, because they were scared she’d get bullied for her appearance, and were also very heavy-handed with compliments in regards to her looks in an attempt to ensure she wouldn't get self-conscious about them.
