Description[]
Trail Guide Agrilus is a gnarled dragon; his face is sunken into his pronounced cheekbones, forming wizened furrows around his eyes. He has leaf-toned buds resembling sprouts on his wing nubs and patchy chloroplast-like armor scales scattered on his neck. His whiskers are short and squidlike.
His scales are an earthy kale green, with dark hooded markings around his head, and a small star of cool sage-green scales between his stony eyebrows. Certain areas on his body appear to be freckled like light through patchy foliage.
His tail, which would normally be heavily armored on other CentiWings, looks something like a limp grub. It's covered in thick, armored scales, but lacks the typical scutes (instead being covered in chloroplast plates that form a pattern like the rings on a worm) and ends with underwhelming pincers resembling thorns rather than jaws.
Personality[]
Trail Guide is knowledgeable about the secret passages and terrain on the southern trails, having traveled “this one” once when his mother took him for a birthday picnic or “that one” when his parents took him hunting for the first time. He also knows animals and insects off his thumb, proving to be very useful when it comes to identifying tracks or foraging.
He has sired many children, as he’s proven to be a responsible mate and cares deeply about paternal duty. A majority of the tribe's Centi/Leaf hybrids come from his stock, and he's proud of each of them, seeing them as his legacy more than his own job.
History[]
Trail Guide was raised by his mother’s birth tribe-- the CentiWings-- but his father was given the privilege of leaving him his birth name, since he was a male dragonet. Evidently the LeafWing's knowledge of CentiWing naming was based on limited information, so he named his son after a leaf-boring insect.
