tatsumaki inherited a good amount of kami genes. pretty unusual. its safe to say you could see the resemblance, feathers, pale green, etc.
her main scale color is a cool pastel yellow, caped with soft green where her topscales would be. a pale lime color edges the green and yellow, making those colors more distinguishable ever so subtly. along this line are mint green spots that softly glow, though you can't notice it during the day. her horns are a dark forest green, creating a contrast form her Easter-like color palette. the two horns above her ears (one long and one very short) are straight, but curve upward and inward ever so slightly. small spikes of the same color go down her back, not exactly where her spine is, more of the upper side of her neck to make space for the feathery mane along her body. these feathers are a very pastel warm green, spiky and thin. almost the texture of bristles, but hey move and fluff. these feathers rim her jawline as well. she's still a lightwing, and she still has lightwing features. she has a center horn on her forehead that is similar in shape to her darker green horns.
for accessories, she's pretty minimal. a simple rustic golden earring (that isn't real gold of course) hangs form her left ear. when it gets cold outside, she has a very thick woolen scarf the color of the metal she forges. its very heavy and very long.

tatsumaki is really calm, and quietly extroverted. she loves being around other dragons, but she has a naturally more introverted voice and disposure. tat is also very open minded and loves listening to other people. people can come to her with their problems. she's kind of an in-camp therapist, and that's very needed because of so many demikami having tragic or mentally damaging pasts. she's really good at keeping secrets, because in her words:
"i can fold all of my anxiety into little doves, and watch them fly away"
she rarely gets stressed or mad at other campers. and when she does, its a raw, cold anger she doesn't linger on for long. tatsumaki's death stare can make you feel incredibly uneasy, and you know you've screwed up if she's emotionlessly glaring at you. it's like little ice daggers into your soul. but her anger never lasts. its less productive to be angry, she should just focus on happy things instead of grudges.
tatsumaki is very philosophical, contemplating deep topics in her spare time, and sharing her ideas with campers. her poems don't get much attention in comparison. she has hundreds of poems in a small basket at this point. all written on small pieces of paper. there isn't any lid, nor key, her cabinmates can just look through them. she trusts her family deeply and doesn't need to hide any secrets. plus, there aren't many secrets in those poems anyways. she keeps her secrets in her head.

tatsumakis mother was an adventurous dragoness named luminescent. luminescent was a beautiful lightwing explorer who was exploring the Claws of the Clouds mountains. she was levelheaded and ready for any challenge that came her way. kuuki met her during a perilous flight to get away from a rockslide on the top of one of the tallest mountains. he saved the dragoness from being crushed while she was flying away as fast as possible. the two travvled along the perilous peaks of the sky kingdom, nearly to Jade Mountain, before heading back to the smaller range near her town.
and wops uh oh tatsumaki egg exists.
luminescent wasn't really a motherly kind of dragon and absolutely freaked out. i'm guessing kuuki looked a bit panicked too and shrugged his shoulders. so she asked her sister ginseng about maybe raising her when she hatches. ginseng already had three dragonets and was like "sure wy not".
luminescent was there when tatsumaki hatched, and was reasonably shocked. see, kuuki was disguised as a pale green lightwing, but where did the feathers come from?!?! after that initial confusion, luminsecenent just kind of accepted the weirdness of FEATHERS on her dragonet. she read about aviwing hybrids and was like nope can't be that.
so tatsumaki had a pretty uneventful early childhood. at first she was named sparrow, but then luminescent realized she was a demikami and changed her name to tatsumaki, in honor of kuuki. weird names weren't uncommon (heck her cousins-siblings were named Quote, Snow and Axis). she had many friends and grew up an average child in the small mountainside town. every once in a while luminescent flew back to her town after adventuring all over the continent.
when she was around seven, yokai started to notice her. even tat's cousin/siblings realized something must be wrong, even though as mortals they didn't understand it as well. most of the yokai were just mischievous, axis and quote could scare them away, as they were older and trained. but on this day, a more dangerous yokai approached.
luckily, a scout was in the area, noticing an increase in yokai. he found tatsumaki before it attacked. her siblings couldn't defeat a monster that large. the scout managed to fight it back, it wasn't the most powerful in the world.
