a land of dying stars[]
overview[]
- been in production in some form or another since june 2024
- tiny little god verse
- yeah
lore[]
- world was literally empty until 5 gods were created from the ether
- lela (she/her), goddess of the sun and day
- krio (he/they), god of the moon and night
- rinan (they/she), goddess of fire and water
- machi (he/him), god of air and earth
- komar (they/them), god of justice and creation
- obviously, komar took charge lmfao
- komar created dragons like them and their fellow gods out of machi's earth, imbuing them with his breath. they needed rinan's water to live, and her fire to keep warm. they needed lela's sun to see during the day, and krio's moon to see during the night. but most of all, in komar's unbiased opinion, they needed komar's wisdom and morals.
- dragons were pretty chill for a while ngl, everything was simply idyllic.
- until krio decided to rebel thousands of years later, 1000 years before present day. tired of being overlooked by both mortals and the gods alike, he decided to create more "rankings" of immortals, promoting mortals left and right out of sheer fury.
- komar sealed krio away in the moons themselves, and he was only able to communicate every 100 years on the brightest night.
- komar chose a family of devout icewing peasants to rule over the continent, a true divine right to rule.
terms[]
- god: a god is the highest ranking of immortals. they have unlimited animus magic, cannot die, and cannot visit the mortal realm. there are five true gods: lela, krio, rinan, machi, and komar. komar is the most powerful of the gods.
- meli (plural: melis): a meli is the second-highest ranking of immortals. they either have one or two major domains, and cannot die. unlike the gods, they can visit the mortal realm, but only in small capacities.
- vis (plural: vises): a vis is the third-highest ranking of immortals. they typically have two semi-major domains, such as cloth and cats or fish and metal. they cannot permanently die unless their ichor is completely drained, and they are much harder to kill them than an obscuri.
- obscuri (plural: obscuri): obscuri are the third-lowest ranking of immortals. usually, obscuri have one major domain, like trees or ink. they cannot permanently die (unless their heart is cut out), and they are harder to kill than the average dragon.
- orandi (plural: orandis): orandi are the second-lowest ranking of immortals. they are hard to kill but not too hard. they have one minor domain, such as rainbow trout or bengal tigers.
- infrae (plural: infraes): the lowest of immortals, infrae are barely considered divine. they rarely have domains, and when they do, their domains are extremely, extremely minor, such as strawberry seeds thrown in the garbage or a grimace given after a child hands you something sticky. they aren't easy to kill, but they're certainly easier to kill than an orandi.
- vessel: a vessel is a dragon chosen by a god or vis to be their mortal half. a representative, if you will. the individual must be hollow inside, ready to receive the magic of the divine. currently, krio is the only one of the gods to have a vessel. many vises and immortals of lower statuses have vessels, some of whom are unaware of their status.
- paladin: a chosen warrior of one of the gods.
- acervus: the name of the world, one whole supercontinent.
