Prince Bluemoon is an IceWing-SandWing-SkyWing-NightWing quadbrid and one of five dragonets King Windracer and Queen Arid might have in a highly probable future.
Appearance[]
In Windracer's visions of the future, Bluemoon is noted to have striking pale blue eyes and a narrow, elegant, diamond-shaped head. The scales on his body are sapphire blue with hints of white. His powerful, SkyWing-like wings are an icy, blueish-white, identical in color to his NightWing talons. His tail resembles a SandWing's, but instead of a venomous barb, he has icicle-shaped spines on the tip like an IceWing. Upon his wing membranes, he has a scattering of jet-black scales, rather than of silver scales like those of a typical NightWing, a trait he shares with his ancestor, Whiteout.
Personality[]
Bluemoon is mentioned to be loyal to a fault, and is easily hurt by anyone who betrays his trust, though he normally recovers from it quickly, suggesting that he is very resilient. According to Windracer, Bluemoon always wants what's best for his family and their tribes. He is also hardworking and patient, as he taught himself how to weave a fruit-gathering basket as a hatching day present for Peacemaker instead of using his animus magic to make one.

How to Train Your Wings of Fire[]
Near the beginning, it's mentioned that Windracer had had visions of him and Arid having dragonets together. Though they're not mentioned by name, it's more than likely that one of them was Bluemoon.
Bluemoon is first mentioned properly, along with his siblings, shortly after Windracer confesses his feelings to Arid. He lists each of their possible future dragonets by name based on the visions he had, and Arid admits she can't wait to meet them. Bluemoon was described as "the king of ice," implying that a majority of his aspects in the vision resemble the IceWings.
Bluemoon appeared later in Windracer's vision while he was asleep in Mayfly's house. Windracer and Oasis went to the library of Jade Mountain Academy and found Skyfire, Dawnbringer and Duskflight reading a scroll together. Oasis told them that Windracer was going to read them a story and asked where Bluemoon was. Skyfire explained that it was his turn to help Peacemaker pick strawberries. He and Peacemaker then arrived with a large basket of strawberries for everyone to snack on while Windracer reads the scroll to them.
