Metallurgist Slate is a male CentiWing who resides in the Rugged Ridge nest in Pantala. His life's work is studying metals, though he is a former military soldier.
Appearance[]
Metallurgist has dark grayish blue scales. His underbelly is a lighter version of this shade, but is still dark. His patterns are marbled like flames, and are curved gently. His build is thick and strong. His tail pincers are extremely strong, and a bit larger than average. His horns are like a ram’s, and curve sharply inward behind his ears. Metallurgist holds himself high and strong.
Personality[]
Metallurgist is very quiet and strict, but he doesn’t shy away from confrontation. He is very dignified and strong willed. His main goal is to make everything work perfectly in his tribe, and as a result he is extremely productive. Metallurgist’s biggest flaw is that he never sees consequences. Like, never. He could do something that solved one problem but creates twelve more, and never notice it. As a result, he is extremely reliant on others. He’s really a big teddy bear with a huge heart, just rather oblivious He is perfectly willing to hurt dragons who threaten him, his family, or his tribe.
History[]
Born during the Tree Wars, Metallurgist was raised with the knowledge that fighting was important and useful. He learned all the tactics from his best friend’s father, who had been in the military. As soon as he left school, he joined the military. He was eventually discharged and sent home after he got into a fight with a commanding officer, Commander Clawmark. This cost him pride, but he was humbled by the experience and began studying metals. Soon enough, he got the rank of metallurgist and had his son. His willingness to help and his unlikelihood to shy away from confrontation made him a top choice for the Nest Liaison position, and he was eligible, and so he signed up. Sadly he didn't win, but he is perfectly content with his life.
Family[]
His parents are Reporter Stark and Psychologist Jumper. He has an adult son named Hunter Restless. He has good relationships with all of these dragons, often spending afternoons with them. He has two brothers, Professor Bee and Shepherd Drab. He doesn’t like either of them.
