my grandpa would get codes for free kids books in his cereal! i don't know if they still do it or not but schoolastic sponsored the companies i guess. he would give them to me pretty much through elementary school and at one point my mom got me the first wof book. she didn't think i would like it but i fell in love
I stumbled upon it randomly while looking for books to read. I've read the books digitally, but I do plan on buying them as soon as I can find physical copies where I live (France, and yes, the physical copies of the books are hard to come by here, though I'm tempted to just get the English version since I'm not a fan of the names of the characters in the French version).
Well, it's more that they feel weird. Starflight becomes "Comète" (comet) in the French version, Clay becomes Argile (well, this is one a bit more literal), and I've started reading the books in English anyway, so the English versions feels more... natural, so to say :D
In fact, I just caved and imported a lot containing the books 6 to 11, because even with import taxes and all, it would be cheaper than buying the books individually :D
As for my favourite character, that's Starflight. I really loved him during the first arc, and as for the 2nd arc, that would be either Qibli or Winter !
i could have sworn i replied to this wiki must have stole it sorry
when i started reading them it was moon rising!! but in hindsight of how the series developed and now that i focus a lot more on the technical side of things i think the first one? moon rising has great moments but there are a lot of flaws that i see now. while the dragonet prophecy was what made me fall in love with the series and has great character development for clay
Moon Rising is indeed a great book in my opinion, I liked that it showed that the series can go in a different direction, without being necessarily as violent as the first arc (I mean, that's a bit my issue with the Dragonet Prophecy arc; there was a lot of violence that felt gratuitous to me. Sure, there is a war after all, and a lot of conflicts, but... I still feel like some of the events could have been avoided).
In my case, it would be Winter Rising. I mean, Winter felt a bit... edgy, so to say in Moon Rising, but Winter Rising added the depth and explained his personality in a way that really makes him appreciable in my opinion. In fact, he is my favourite character for the 2nd arc just because of how he is.
hey anaphora! i placed second in your new beginnings contest so im here to claim my prize, which was a shaded halfbody. could you perhaps draw hydrophid? if the design throws you off/it's too complicated, you could draw aldrovanda instead.
