Note: When drawing her, you can simplify her design, and/or interpret it as however you imagine BeetleWings. Just make sure that it recognizably looks like her.
Magnificus is a small, pretty young BeetleWing, colored in hues of ocean blue. Well, one wouldn't say that she's completely blue, as her scales are patched with sea-green. From far away, one may mistake her for a SeaWing (or they would, if they knew about SeaWings). A thin, ragged line of dark blue runs along her scales, down to the end of her tail. A streak of the same color is on her face, appearing to drip from her eyes down her snout.
Adding to her oceanic appearance, her upper wings are medium blue, and dotted with white bubbles. Yellow eyespots line the edges of her wings, and have teal insides and white centers. Her lower wings are less showy; a plain seaweed-green color, fading into periwinkle on the inside.
Magnificus's underbelly is a pale spring green, and her upper-scales are lapis blue. Under her chin, her underbelly is teal, but it fades into pale green on her neck. Her legs fade into a grayish-green near the bottom, giving an almost sock-like appearance. The scales between her aquamarine-colored main scales and her underbelly are a teal color, and are dotted with white bubbles like her upper wings. The small scales on her sides are yellow.
Magnificus has a pretty face by BeetleWing standards, although she is young enough to only be considered cute. She has a single yellow eyespot on her cheek, and long fangs that often poke out of her mouth, adding to her cute, childish appearance. Her claws are yellow, as are her antennae and back spines. One of Magnificus's most unusual features is her four horns, with the back pair being shorter than the front. This makes her be somewhat reminiscent of some kind of insect. Her horns start off green, and quickly fade into bright cyan. Her eyes are bright yellow, and shine with curiosity and innocence.
She has a small stinger at the end of her tail, which, because of her youth, is still not fully developed. At this age, it is almost fully developed, but not completely.

Magnificus loves reading, especially fantasy adventure stories, and tales of old heroes. She wishes she could become a hero, but feels like she doesn’t live up to that standard, or fit into that stereotype.
Magnificus is mostly a happy and whimsical dragonet, just starting to have the wool of innocence pulled off her eyes, despite her slightly older age. She is playful and dreamy.
Magnificus thinks that she should be attracted to males, since all the “legendary heroes” are, and tries to squash down her feelings of attraction towards females and force herself to be attracted to males. This toxic mindset is proving unhealthy for her.

- This is Morpho’s first BeetleWing character (although I didn’t create her, I adopted her).
- Her original name was Atlantic, but Morpho changed it because “Atlantic” is a SeaWing name, not a kind of beetle.
- Magnificus is named after the beetle, Eupholus magnificus.
