Description[]
Lyrata stands taller than the average height of female LeafWings her age, with somewhat broader shoulders. Ignoring color, her shape mainly resembles that of a SkyWing, with a triangle shaped head, twisted horns, bat-like wings, and long limbs and tail. Her long spines start on her head and end after the base of her tail, and are not connected with webbing - instead, they are all separate and have a "leaf" of webbing.
Her green mainscales are banded with shades of moderate and dark brown, and dark green markings cover her green scales, excepting her wings and talons. She has bright green eyes under her moderate brown brows, and her underbelly is a somewhat warm shade of pale green. Her claws, horns, spikes and spines are all a dark shade of green, and her "leaf" spines and tail are the same dark green as the markings.
Both the topside and the underside of her wings resemble the wings of a mourning wheatear - most of the top around the limb is a dark shade, with a pale banding across the whole wings under it, separating the dark shade from the moderate color of the outer wings. The topside of her wings are in shades of brown, while the underside is in shades of green. Her wingarms and wingfingers are dark brown on both sides of the wings, and her wingarms are spotted with moderate brown scales, with a small triangle of mainscale green on either side of her wingshoulders.
During the first month of autumn, her green scales slowly change, much like deciduous leaves, to shades of red, maroon and pink. Her scales stay this color for the rest of fall and winter, until the last month of winter, when her scales slowly change back to green.
She wears a simple brown satchel closed with an old predator's tooth slung around her chest, over a small silver chain that bears an alexandrite pendant.

Trivia[]
- Her default color ig is the green color scheme since she hatched in the summer and also she's probably green longer than red
- She was originally a cringey tribrid named Tempest,
- Then I quit being cringey and she became a mostly SkyWing derg named Tyra (derived from the science! name of the scissor-tail flycatcher) (no, she's not named after whoever in the world Tyra Banks is)
- And then Pantala existed and I was like wait trees are a thing so I made a LeafWing version of Tyra whom I named Lyrata (science! name of an oak)
- However I liked both Tyra and Lyrata and I was wondering which one I was going to ultimately pick over the other
- Then I got this brilliant idea to merge them and instead of picking one color scheme over the other she changes with the seasons because I'm too attached to both of them
- And I stuck with Lyrata for the name since a) it's derived from a deciduous tree and b) it sounds cool
- She used to play the flute like forever ago don't ask her to play, she forgot all the notes except maybe C
- Her wing pattern, based on the mourning wheatear, was originally one of the seven wing designs made for the original SkyWing version of her, Tyra.
