yikes okay here's an overview
so she existed in the universe with lightwings, but her egg was abandoned by parents. she was adopted by a pair of skywings, but they weren't a happy couple and often fought. also bullied and ridiculed for being a lightwing attending a skywing school.
of course, this made her very scared and unhappy, but she kept praying and holding on to a wish that one day she'll find a better life. and she did - on her 6th birthday, she made her wish out loud while wandering into the woods, and a pastel nightwing known as moon came out of a portal that appeared shimmering in a pond.
apparently moon was a real witch and they managed to start up a magic mirror that got activated by a strong, true desire, so lyra's wish was heard. moon granted her what she wanted and took her away from her own universe, back into the light-verse. she met light and now she is her adoptive big sis while moon is her new parent. she loves both of them very much.
however eventually it was discovered that it wasn't just a wish that connected her to the mirror - lyra herself had an affinity for true magic. she discovered her powers and moon helped her develop it. so now she is also a student in hikari's school and stuff, still working on her powers and... searching for love huehehu
