if you have read and regarded this note, she wishes you a good day/night <3aren't the moons just so... lovely? how does anyone not feel alive at night?
For some odd reason, the scenic route was the one you chose to take home today.
The woods were entirely free of dragons, but it was far from a quiet place. As the sun set beneath the distant peaks, bathing the world in an orange glow, crickets chirped and nocturnal critters sang their wake-up calls. Occasionally, a squirrel or bird would flit past the trees, some of them eager to get about the night, while some of them were simply heading home to a warm nest, tired from the day's events like you.
As the sky gradually turned dark, the weariness finally started to take its full effect, and you let out a yawn. The night was clearly still young for the forest, the flora and fauna not losing their luster as night fell, but you were eager to return to your nice, comfy bed and fall into sleep's embrace. You simply smiled at the beauty of the nature surrounding you, before continuing on your journey back home.
That's when you heard a creak.
Twigs snapping, leaves crunching. Your weary mind was still able to make out the fact that you were not alone. However, instead of making you anxious or on edge, the sounds... relaxed you, as if you were welcoming company that you didn't even expect. A small squeak made you turn around, and what you saw snapped your eyes fully open again.
A dragon, previously shrouded in the shadows, was standing there, illuminated by moonlight.
You smile at the stranger, taking a step forward, words of friendly greeting hanging on the tip of your tongue...
... before they turned tail and scampered into the forest with another squeak.

Bewildered, you were dumbfounded for a few seconds before you listened to your instincts and gave chase. Logic tells you that it's a horribly stupid decision, but something in your heart told you that it was the right move.
Surprisingly, you didn't have a hard time catching up with the mysterious dragon - it seemed like besides the element of surprise, speed wasn't their strong suit. You emerged into a clearing just as the stranger did, the latter hopping into a huge clump of bushes in a last ditch effort to escape you. The action was almost comical, if it weren't for the fearful whimpers that you heard.
You approached the foliage slowly, hoping not to startle the other dragon into running off again. "Hey," you whispered, your low voice still very much audible in the silent night.
Surprisingly, you hear a small squeak in return, along with a faint rustle of leaves, but whoever the other dragon was, they didn't sprint off again.
"I'm not going to hurt you," you added, hoping to sound at least a tiny bit reassuring.

we all dream, so we all have feelings. that's what makes us all dragons, that's what makes our life beautiful.
