Appearance[]
Lonicera resembles a pure blooded SandWing - pale gold scales, heavy chest and narrow waist. Her eyes are glittering obsidian and tinted with a hint of green, and she lacks the tell-tale fangs of a RainWing.
However, she does have the venomous fangs of one, and is unable to breathe fire - a trait that her SandWing father was forever disgruntled with. Her tail is long and perhaps more flexible than the average SandWing's - though it still bears a venomous tail barb.
Personality[]
Lonnie is resourceful and reliable, able to face reality but sorely lacking in vivid imagination. She exercises discipline - a trait she gained from her days as the daughter of a general - and perseveres, even when the going gets tough.
She knows how to get her point across and doesn't enjoy being in the company of dragons who pity themselves. In this way, she can appear cold, aloof and taciturn.
Lonnie doesn't panic easily and makes the best out of nearly every circumstance, because, as she says, "What's the point of complaining about something that can't be helped?"
History[]
Lonnie was hatched in three egg clutch of two males and one female. Her mother's name was Curlew and her father's name was Storm-Petrel, and her two brothers were named Warbler and Murre.
Storm-Petrel had been a war general under Queen Oasis, and had met Curlew in Possibilty during one of his annual rounds. The two fell in love, and, for a short time, things were going well.
And then the War of SandWing Succession began.
With three newly-hatched dragonets in a war-torn country, ruled by a queen that he could never support, Storm-Petrel fled to the rainforest. The small family remained with some of Curlew's RainWing relatives, and Storm-Petrel could breathe freely again.
Lonnie was raised in the slacked society of the RainWings for a good three or four years of her early life, and she could hardly remember her time in the Sand Kingdom.
