-DABADABADOOBURD

Across the bustling streets of the Scorpion den there's quite a few shady figures. Your everyday outclaw right around the corner with an arsenal of weapons, speaking in this hoarse, heavy voice; But a voice stands out. You hear an odd chatter; no, a squeak. Turning your head, your eyes meet with Lithic's; a white and terracotta colored sandwing. "Well hey there, friend," he says with a warm smile. He's quite cordial for a sandwing in the Socrpion Den. His odd scales, weird mannerisms and behavior truly stand out to you. It seems as though Lithic... almost isn't dragon. But that's not even possible, is it?

Description[]

Lithic scales, quite visibly, don't follow the scale colors of your typical sandwing. Lithic has a pearly white snout, ghostly horns and claws and pale, white, diamond patterns on his neck, shoulders and hind knees. The dragon's base is a deep, terracotta color, similar to a desaturated form of clay. His head and under scales are a pale, dried rose pink. His sail and webbing is a grayer, dried rose tone.

Personality[]

Lithic seems awfully quiet at times, especially around other dragon; although, there's always a million thoughts and questions rushing through his head like a stream filled to the brim with salmon.

would attempting that get me caught?

Are these dragons trustworthy?

Is that blue one an icewing or a seawing? Were they both that blue?

I've never seen four winged dragons before... three moons, more tribes to memorize.

Lithic always has an ear out an eye open, assessing his surroundings. He tries his best to learn from what he can pick up as quite the rather unfamiliar dragon to most of the dragon world. He's quite observant, and if you could see into his mind, you'd certainly catch a glimpse.

The dragon had quite the eye for treasure, greed being one of his driving forces. He often loses touch with his goals when given the chance to gain wealth. At times, it almost controls him, allowing him to behave quite stubborn and recklessly, and in many other ways he otherwise wouldn't have,

Regardless of his greed, the only thing that greed could never waver would be Lithic's love. Lithic has a lot of issues with developing social bonds and likings with other dragons. He doesn't have anyone to trust or protect. His speech is quite unusual and offsetting, his scales seem a bit odd... most dragons get a sort of uncanny feel around Lithic. With former loved ones, Lithic was quite caring, with not even money letting him bring harm to anybody he truly cared for. With that missing piece, though, Lithic does seem like just another money chasing sandwing.

Biography[]

Long before the time that Lithic even had wings; Lithic was human, just like any other child living in Valor, and frankly, Lithic was quite the adventurous and reckless child by nature, frequently running away from the tunnels with his younger sister, Keeshee. He'd ignore all warnings that the adults would tell him every time he was caught, each time with more severe punishment and constraint: "Do not leave the caves, you'll get devoured by a dragon!"

Lithic wasn't persuaded. From what he'd seen, the most the giant lizards would do was cruise around; but this view didn't last long. On an unfortunate day, the siblings came across a dragon; a sand dragon. Keeshee was bitten in half with much ease by the beast, leaving Lithic scarred quite young. Lithic lost a lot of his adventurous tendencies for quite a long time, with only greed being able to bring them back, and developed a creeping, terrifying fear of dragons. He never dared leaved the caves again and was quite frequently reminded of his error.

As Lithic grew older, he joined the wing watchers, determined to protect his people from dragons, to prevent another incident occur, like with Keeshee; but when he finally turned 16, old enough to leave the caves, his greed sparked with his first discovery of dragon gold. He'd soon use his trips to the land above as a way to acquire wealth, until a fateful day, he came across an animus touched item; a pendant made to turn those with greed into their biggest fear. As soon as Lithic even TOUCHED this pendant, he woke up a different person; a different dragon. His skin was now a network of scales, his hands were talons and his lifelong friends were... gone.

With nowhere else to go, Lithic ventured into the desert to the only dragon structure he knew of; the Scorpion Den. On his trip, he passed out, only to be found and taken in by a rather older sandwing. Lithic now works to learn about the world and ways of dragons, while also looking for some sort of cure to his curse.

On a quite, seemingly ordinary day in the Scorpion Den, Lithic overheard dragons discussing something about a new school in the second continent.

"You hear of that? I know I won't be sending my son there. The boy needs to learn to hunt, to claw his way to power, not learn about mechanics or mathematics, or whatever."

"You know what the school's about?"

"Oh, just some HiveWing project or something... one of those bug dragons were out handing ads in the other street."

With this new knowledge, Lithic made the decision to enroll in this school, getting lucky enough to be among the few accepted students. This gave the window of opportunity for him to learn all he could about dragons and encounter some possibly peculiar figures that could help him in his journey. As of now he's staying in the school's Winglet dorms.

Skills[]

Strengths[]

Weapon combat - Lithic has much skill in combat with weapons. He can use bows, crossbows, swords, and spears. He's particularly skilled with projectiles, being able to operate catapults as well.

Intelligence - Lithic has quite the skill when it comes to problem solving. He'd observant of his environment and takes many factors into account.

Language fluency - Lithic fluently knows both scavenger and dragon, being able to communicate with both species.

Weaknesses[]

Non-weapon combat - Although Lithic might be good at fighting with tools, with just his claws, fire and barb, he isn't of much use and doesn't exactly have the necessary skills to fight with them,

Poor limb control - Lithic has weaker precision and control over his explicitly dragon body parts, like his wings and tail. For this reason, he often has trouble taking off, landing, or keeping his barb safely curled.

Relationships[]

Keeshee[]

Before Keeshee's death at the age of five, Lithic and Keeshee were very close, being more than sibling; being best friends. They were also really close in age, which naturally caused the siblings to be less taunting toward one another. Regardless, they did pick fights over foolish stuff sometimes. Their favorite activity was to play 'soldiers' on the cave outsides, collect berries and make 'paint', and goof around with other reckless activities.

Keeshee's death was a world changer for Lithic, in a very tragic way. Word had it that Keeshee's death made Lithic snap like a twig, going from the liveliest child ever to a ghost puppetting a corpse. A dull, empty part of Lithic opened up where Keeshee once was. Any mentions of Keeshee brought back severe flashbacks for Lithic, enough for the adults to keep him at bay. For the longest time, he avoided the once existence of his sister and suppressed the traumatic memory, pretending like she never existed, while still feeling a vengeful hatred toward dragons. He knew deep down who Keeshee was and why he did what he did, but he was (and still is) too afraid to confront it.

(Lithic is open for platonic relationships :)

Trivia[]

  • Lithic has a tendency to mispronounce words in Dragon.
    • This is the reason as to why his voice claim is megamind; a similar way of mispronouncing words, such as the word "Spider" as Spieider or the word "School" as schewl.
