Appearance
Coloration and Markings
Lady Atta can be described to have rusty red scales. The scales beside her eyes are jet black. Her wings are a brighter red that shimmer in the sunlight. Her underbelly is solid black, with layers of deep red. Her claws are blood red. On her arms, she has black scales that make look like she’s wearing gloves. Her wings also have black stripes similar to Lady Scarab. Her coloration is similar to her sister Lady Tarantula.
Atta can be described as very regal looking. Her appearance, build wise, is similar to her sister Queen Wolf, with her horns are long and slender, and pointing upwards more than normal. Her layering scales are slightly pointed, but not as much as Wolf’s.
Personality
Lady Atta is known to be one of the kindest Lady. She’s always trying to give back to the dragons in her hive. As her hive is situated between Queen Metalmark’ Hive and Queen Wolf’s Hive, Atta Hive is the center of trade between the SilkWings and the HiveWings. And with trade comes wealth. And with wealth you can make the lives of so many dragons better. Lady Atta has improved education, encouraged literacy (even though this wasn’t that much of a problem in her own hive), and has expanded her hive so that more dragons have room to actually live. Lady Atta is one of the most respected Ladies, and is known as the symbol for kindness across the Hive and Silk kingdoms. She is also one who suggested the no kill policy when fighting SilkWings, as they only captured, never kill.
Biography
Hatching
In the year 5,083, Lady Atta Jewel hatched alongside Lady Tarantula Jewel, Lord Vespula Jewel, and their two twin brothers Lord Daza Jewel and Lord Mura Jewel. They were the largest brood of all their siblings. Sadly, only Wolf and Lynx were there for their hatching. Their mother didn’t care about her children’s hatching. Their father, however was forced to miss the entire thing, their Mother, the Queen, had kept him for a counsel meeting, which mostly consisted of her yelling at them. As usual.
Dragonethood
Atta grew up away from her sisters, growing up in the Hive now known as Atta Hive. Her care takers constantly kept her practically in the same room. A simple study room. Her caretakers acted as teachers, and not parents. They never let her leave her room unless it was for special occasions. Of course the caretakers weren’t very good at making sure she stayed in her room. She often managed to escape her room, and see all the trouble in her hive. She saw homeless dragons, jobless dragons, and dragons who had nothing. She saw that no one cared, and pretended that nothing was wrong. She promised that as soon she got at least some power, she would use it to its entire extent to fix this horror. Of course until then she asked questions to the point of annoying one of her caretakers to quit. Because of this her mother definitely made sure to keep her as far as possible. The less annoyance the better.
Young Adult Life
Atta started making improvements to the hive she grew up in, much to the annoyance of her aunt who was ruling the hive. Atta tried helping the poor get jobs, and help make sure all dragonets go to school. The hive ruler hated her for helping her hive and becoming more popular than herself. This changed when the two fought during the Wolf’s Challenge. Atta didn’t want to have to hurt her hive’s predecessor but she did what she had to. After that, she has made her own hive look like it was built on top of a gold mine. It is the richest looking hive, having golden like decorations almost everywhere. Atta has also made sure that every dragonet in her hive has a chance to go to school for their 9 year requirement. Actually it was Atta that convinced Wolf to make it law to have every dragonet under Hive rule go to school from ages 1-10. And to allow them to go to special schools after. She truly cares about her hive.
Present
Atta spends most of her days managing Hive/Silk trade. She visits schools and roam the halls of the hive quite often. She also puts most of the money she gains into her hive. She’s expanded her hive at least every other year. She’s also funded most of Lady Tarantula’s schools. Of course there still are the old tradition of parties in her hive. Her hive used to be Jewel Hive, and most of the dragons there are rich dragons who want to go to extravagant parties, which Atta happily holds for almost everyone. (She obviously doesn’t allow Dragonets.) Atta lives happily in her hive, of riches.
Relationships
Queen Wolf
Atta respects and loves her sister. They don’t get along like some might expect but they have a mutually respectful relationship.
Lady Blue
Lady Atta doesn’t particularly like Blue. She doesn’t like that her sister makes it so difficult for SilkWings to live in her hive. She also doesn’t like how cold-hearted her sister seems. Despite this Atta respects her sister’s ways. Mostly out of fear.
Lady Tarantula
Lady Atta is quite fond of her litter mate. The two will often meet with each other in their respective Hives. They’ll trade books, Hive advice, jewelry, gossip, or just about anything.
Lady Velvet
Atta doesn’t exactly like her older sister’s angry side. Atta doesn’t like the idea of war to begin with, which is one of the reasons why she dislikes Velvet. Of course she doesn’t hate her, she just doesn’t like how she’s basically preparing war with anyone.
Lady Whitefly
Lady Atta adores her younger sister, although she thinks of her as a little too naive. Lady Atta tries to give Whitefly advice about her hive and how to keep it under control. During hard times Lady Atta will worry over Whitefly, but can’t do anything because her hive is on the other side of the Savanna.
Her Mother
Lady Atta never speaks of her mother and often will refuse to speak of her. If she does speak it’s usually “She was going to bring war. We knew we had to do something. She just had to make it harder for herself.”
