description[]
A cheerful, bright, and popular healer. Loud and funny, with a talent for making jokes and raising spirits, Kirameki was destined for a wonderful life, or so was assumed by everyone around her. However, there was something that supposedly changed her destination forever. She met someone and fell in love, someone deemed unworthy by everyone (including himself), but someone she loved all the same. A quiet, frail dragon only a few years older than her, and a NightWing at that. But the tragedy didn't stop there. An animus who wasted his power in his youth, people avoided him, deeming him possibly crazy, though, rest assured, he was sane.
Kira resembles most SkyWings, her coloring and general shape fitting in with the rest. However, the young healer had a disability, preventing her from flying as well as those around her, but something she took as simply another fact of her life. Her wings, small and misshapen, prevented her from staying aloft for more than a minute or so, which made her the subject of a significant number of teases until she simply decided to take it in stride.
personality[]
Small, cheerful, popular, and bright. A happy young dragon with a stunning talent for making other people feel better. Everyone thought her perfect, worthy, excellent. But Kira wasn't excellent, and she knew that better than anyone. For her flaws lay within, past layers of the joy and humor she displayed to the outside world. Kira was weak. She didn't ever know how to tell people off, nor how to tell people "no". In fact, she disliked arguments and negative interactions so much that she tended to accept everything anyone said. Everyone thought her too sweet to boost her confidence or courage, and those that didn't think her sweet simply decided to take advantage of her.
Kira always had an intrinsically curious nature; in her youth, she had taken to wandering aimlessly around the Sky Kingdom, seeing what new random knowledge she could soak up. She was never one for gossiping, but did enjoy overhearing others' conversations.
Though Kira didn't mind confronting others and actually enjoyed social interaction, she was not a very brave person, tending to stick to the middle of crowds so as to avoid what might lie ahead or behind her. She didn't enjoy being the center of attention, and disliked it when people either praised or insulted her excessively, hoping that they might divert their attention elsewhere.
biography[]
Kirameki was born to SkyWings Falcon and Everest shortly after the end of Darkness of Dragons. She was a bright and healthy dragonet, though her wing deficiency was clearly displayed after she (with difficulty) pushed herself out of the egg. She began her years at Jade Mountain Academy after turning 4 dragon years, and spent her time studying and generally enjoying herself. She often found herself distanced from the Dragonets of Destiny given their unnerving ability to appear as though they saw through any movement Kira would make. Despite her general nervous demeanor around teachers yet sweetness among students, she sped through her lessons, passing with flying colors.
She returned to the Sky Kingdom for a number of reasons: it had always been her dream to heal, she missed her parents, and she wished to serve Queen Ruby to the best of her ability. Training for a Healer position in the palace was difficult and required multiple sleepless hours of studying and over-exerting herself, but eventually, Kira succeeded, earning herself a position as Assistant Healer in the SkyWing Infirmary. Working hard and spending a significant amount of time there, she rose through the ranks quickly (though perhaps this was due to her obedience and ability to charm the crowd).
abilities and skills[]
Having been trained successfully by many accomplished healers, Kira was highly skillful in restoring the health of many dragons, and has been heralded as one of the best. By the end of her training, she had managed to subdue or soothe magical wounds. Additionally, Kira is able to breathe fire, which is incredibly useful in a number of ways: sterilizing wounds, self-defense, and possible attacks, though she rarely was placed in a position where she had to fight off others.
