Wings of Fire Fanon Wiki

Kaleidoscope is a Rainwing with an arched neck and arched brows. A haughty, unimpressed look greets you as she stares down at you, and you stare up at her. She is limber and tall, with a slender neck and body. The refined shape of her head has two heavy-lidded eyes set into it; but despite their half-closed state, the luminous colours of her irises can still distinctly be seen. They are clear and dazzling, like the facets of a precious jewel.

Kaleidoscope is lazy, yes; she fits that stereotype that better RainWings try so desperately to disprove. But Kaleidoscope is also wickedly smart; what she isn’t willing to put hard work and effort into, she makes up with her resourcefulness and clever thinking. If she put half as much work into actually doing what she’s supposed to do instead of scheming of ways to not do her work, she would have surely risen above her station by now.

As it is, she has still managed to achieve some level of recognition. Kaleidoscope is a celebrity, and has been since she was the tender age of three. Her fame was a large contributing factor to her sense of entitlement, and to the tremendous self-regard she possesses. The constant praise and adoration from her fans paired with her natural intellect and beauty made her very egotistical. But Kaleidoscope is not without some merit; she is very sincere and outspoken, and makes it a habit to be as truthful as possible. She will not hesitate to announce what is on her mind at any given moment.

Kaleidoscope also has a strong sense of justice, and an equally strong moral code which she refuses to violate. Her disdaining eyes and bored expression may suggest a spiritless dragonet uninterested by life, but she actually cares deeply about many topics. She herself will not raise a talon to help them, but she will raise her voice, and her adoring fans will follow whatever commands they hear from it.

They love her because she seems "real." Because she's "relatable" and "honest." And, of course, because she's "absolutely gorgeous." But for every reverent admirer, there are two more who are...less so. And for every two irreverent admirers, there are two dragons who genuinely dislike her. In some cases, they will outright abhor her. And this is perhaps another reason why Kaleidoscope would rather sit pretty than actively assist others. Why she would rather her fans help the marginalized and the needy than do it herself.

Or maybe she's just making excuses.

She is generous and affectionate to her loved ones; an amicable, supportive force of thoughtful advice and encouragement. To strangers, she is impartial.
