An odd looking dragon, Waspstriker is a male, HiveWing, CentiWing hybrid and hatched in the middle of the last stand, The Great Fire war. He was born with an odd appearance but was raised to be loyal to only CentiWings, and he did. He believed only in their religion, their culture, and their stories and disregards any information from the HiveWings, not even Whisperfly could get to him. Waspstriker was named by his parents, mostly his mother, after the two survive encapturement in the hives as the last CentiWings prisoners and escaping, he is seen as more of a trophy rather than a son though.
Waspstriker has dark-amber gold scales with a nectar yellow pattern with light-tan, stripe patterns similar to a HiveWing. He has an upward-angled horn covered in honey speckles and pitch black but HiveWing like eyes. He has two nubs where his whiskers are supposed to be along with a thinner shell and a sharpened tail. Wasp has two immobile but glittery gold HiveWing wings that just settle flat down like an accessory.
Waspstriker has a semi-aggressive and silent but honest and somewhat obedient personality. He is sometimes grumpy and will make snarky remarks but will put his tribe first when they're more important or in need. He takes his CentiWing tribe first and tries to avoid helping his other tribe, although he'll sometimes take mercy and help the HiveWing but it's usually in return for one of their properties or some of their information to report to the Archkhan.
Honeybear was born to Basaltstalker near the middle of the Great Fire War. During his childhood, his mother passed down generations of her conniving and thinking abilities and strengths to him, teaching Wasp the same was Basalt was presented. His odd appearances raises suspicion and certainties of his tribe but this is mostly covered by his sheer respect from some of his peers in the Rugged Ridge. The respect mainly come from his HiveWing appearances and his ability to almost blend in with his other tribe asides from his weakened wings. He would love to be a spy if it was possibly and brag and rants about how his father would accept him and allow him to stay in the hives, not knowing that the hive members could be possessed by Wasp. His memory of a little bit of HiveWing training is also respected and used as a way to see what a HiveWing's weakness in the air though he still doesn't know how to help with the fire situation, though he promises to one day seek where their fire is being stored. Though the more days pass, less and less citizens became attracted to the dragon after he became more and more spoiled, especially during is mentoring with Iridescent and causing her to choose a different occupation out of fear. He has also used his authority to search and seizure (a term for unnecessary and unruly search through properties) through different restricted areas by hiding under the "It's an inspector's job" trope. He has lost a lot of respect he once gained but he didn't mind, as long as he made Basalt look better than he did.
Honey was named to Waspstriker after taking up the Inspector position. Though lately his true nature of pure malevolence has appeared ever since the disappearing of Basalt after the last selections. He has done more harm than help to his tribe but not enough to count as lethal in any compacity. Either he doesn't respond or makes snarky remarks, either way, he hasn't be appointed anyone to train ever since. Eventually his mother returned and after ages he was finally expressed love. Excited and joyful, Wapstriker began to act a little on the light note, still aggressive but he wasn't laying around all over the place. Waspstriker at times mention with meeting straight to Wasp's face.
Waspstriker doesn't like the fact that she brags about him a lot but takes it as love and appreciation. She is Wasp's mentor.
Waspstriker always wanted to impress the more experienced Inspector and his own tribe in hopes of being a Nest Liaison one day, even if he knows he isn't going to pass enough to be one he hopes he could rig it some how...
Same as for Rail, he tries to impress Creek and help her with her chores to get her side.
He absolutely despises Iri for the main purpose of her having more attraction than Wasp and Basalt. He, throughout her training (going over basics things and giving advice, not very long), always picked on her about something in secret and never allowed her to get a break until she wanted to change her job. The only dragon that really caught a eye of his harassment was Basalt and Basalt was too chicken to report on it. It came to the point where Iridescent didn't want to spread any news in hopes of avoiding any more interaction with Wasp.
"He doesn't care at me even if Hrringa wills it." - Wasp's outbreak to Creek about Whisperfly.
"Looking forward to me or my mother taking a high role, and we did but for some reason Basalt wants to reach further..." - Wasp mentioning Basalt to Iridescent.
"Inspector doesn't care about her people, she only cares about power, meanwhile I care for you all." - Wasp lies to a few dragonets at Creek's workplace.
"Why wouldn't I be named after the queen, I'm a trophy, I'm a winner's laugh, do you think I wouldn't be named Wasp? Even my father knows it." - Young Wasp to Iridescent.
"Basalt! I'm like you now!" - Wasp to Basalt after finishing Inspector training.
"Do you want to be an Inspector?! Then shut your jaw and listen dragonet! (....) If you don't want to be one, you shouldn't have took the gift." - Wasp hisses to Iridescent during training."
"Mom's been disappearing lately, ever heard?" - He hissed to Creek.
"Iri shush, this is the first time mom has ever treated me this way and I don't want to waste it." - Wasp to Iridescent when she presents other suspicion of Basalt.
- The Name was his father's suggestion, "Honeybear and Waspstriker" and was only enforced after Basalt's humility died off and took pride in her survival despite the name being irregular to the naming tradition.
