- "I will not lie NightWing, at first your presence seemed like a gift. Having a complete answer in the midst of our confusion and a guide to our tribe. However, after appreciating such a thing for too long, I realize your true nature. You are a fraud. You may be able to see the future, but you never perceived us. I'm quite sure to you, we never existed. You have proven you have no heart for my kingdom, my tribe! I do not take lightly to dragons like you, thus is my final stand. I will not share your existence to my dragons, I will not tell them of your visions, I will not bring forth your name. You've shunned us for too long, and so be it then, for we will shun you for years and years to come! Pannipha has always, is always, and will always be a better figure to us, real or not, and there's no "new vision" that will ever change that."
- ― Goldenwhisperer's final decision to Clearsight's spirit
Goldenwhisperer is an adult female WorkWing and the current Vague Queen of WorkWings. Golden is a very young ruler, her crowning being controversial from the start. Her hiding the fact her daughter is a firebreather doesn't improve this situation. She wishes to reconnect with the other tribes, though her sisters refrain her from doing so fearing it would ruin their family's long built reputation.
Appearance[]
Goldenwhisperer has soft gold scales that differ in color ranging from yellow to orange like a honey drop. She has dark bronze overscales and horns with glittery, golden wings. She is the tallest of her siblings yet the thinnest. She often adorns the WorkWing crown.
Personality[]
While Goldenwhisperer isn't entirely shy or quiet, she is rather aloof to others and when she's able to, often keeps to herself. Sometimes Golden even doubts her position, wondering why her mother nominated her for the vague throne in the first place.
However over the years she's grown more confident, still unable to break from her family's grip of reputation but taking steps to be free from it, currently attempting to reunite the WorkWings with other tribes. She is sweet, determined and honest, caring for those around her. She can be blunt but not often.
Biography[]
Goldenwhisperer hatched to Rubysnapper as the eldest sibling. Out of all of her siblings, Ruby favored Golden the most for her intuition and curiosity, something that is clearly known to most residents of the kingdom.
From a young age she often asked many questions, curious as to why certain things were the way they were. In the eye of others this became a nuisance when she was questioning why the WorkWings isolated themselves or the meaning of killing firebreathers. Ruby saw her curiosity and critical thinking as a perfect fit for a ruler however was disappointed at her questioning tradition, ending any discussion on the topic. This discouraged her from publicly debating it, keeping her thoughts private.
She was selected as a successor, prompting her to take the trial after Ruby's death. However an unusual anomaly occurred where she was meant to grab the rock, instead being swept by an mudslide down a ravine. She came across multiple engravings from BeetleWings while down there and discovered the group to be a small village taking refuge from a former growth of the Othermind. After finding the stone she returned, bringing with her a bag of seeds she located with an unknown purpose.
After her crowning she sent the seeds to her friend in Wave Dune to inspect, learning it was an attempt to grow something to combat the Breath of Evil. Confused as to how dragons knew such a thing existed, Goldenwhisperer visited the ravine again after her Pannipha vigil along with her friend and a few Wave Dune officials. On their leave with records about the project, Goldenwhisperer began to hallucinate after drinking from a pond. Originally she assumed the water to be filth and went to see a doctor however she was found to be fine.
The hallucination resulted from an enchantment carried to her by the lake set by a BeetleWing animus. It's goal was to preserve Clearsight as a spirit, explained to Golden by the spirit herself, so she could guide the village and intended for the world, however the dragons died before it could be shared despite numerous warnings. She kept the secret, trying to find a suitable time to share it after the tribe has recovered. Though over time Clearsight began to dodge questions related as to why WorkWings didn't receive sightings. Eventually she would find out Clearsight didn't receive any visions at all about them despite the many disasters the tribe would go through. Golden begins to worry about releasing the news, beginning to even doubt Clearsight's abilities. On the next full moon, around the time the enchantment would end, after much pressure and thought, Golden decides to not inform the tribe, instead to leave Clearsight lost to time in the tribe, believing she wasn't worthy enough to be known to them.
A Guide to the Fanon World[]
Sometime multiple years in the future, Starflight contacts Goldenwhisperer in a project to expand to guide to all tribes possible. Goldenwhisperer accepts, believing it as the breakthrough she dreamed of to reconnect the WorkWings with other tribes again. She provides a multitude of scrolls discussing WorkWing territory, achievements, and culture, translating some from Lizard to Dragon.
Relationships[]
Rubysnapper[]
Ruby is Golden's mother. Golden constantly feels she hasn't lived up to her expectations despite her mother's bountiful love and care for her. She wishes Ruby was still here to guide her.
Dungbeetle II[]

Cyrogladiator[]
Goldenwhisperer is aware of Cyrogladiator's jealousy and tries to ignore her remarks most of the time. Sometimes she ponders they get to her, though she never shows it. She found Cyrogladiator's inauguration as nothing more than a nuisance but is willing to work with her.
Azulwashing[]

Jadeshoving[]
Goldenwhisperer is inspired by Jadeshoving. They trust each other, aware of societal views of firebreathers as negative and wanting to change it for the better. She's the only dragon aware of Electric's ability, and Jade is the only one away of her daughter's.
Pharaoh[]

Elders[]
Goldenwhisperer is the least favored from her great uncle and aunts. They believe Golden would soon ruin their reputation and scorned Rubysnapper for even considering her. However they remotely believe there's a chance to bend Golden into who they wanted to rule, controlling her actions which impede on her dreams, mainly firebreather acceptance and the end of their tribe's isolation.
Bullet[]
Bullet is a close friend of Goldenwhisperer. She often fluds him. with questions, being one of the very few dragons she trusts them with. She is currently working with him to find a way to topple some negative WorkWing traditions.
Clearsight (ghost)[]
Originally Golden saw Clearsight as good news, wanting to eventually announce her existence and lead others to the pond to see her too. Though she began to question Clearsight's abilities after learning there were no visions for the tribe, eventually not believing in her entirely and leaving her to remain unknown to her tribe. She's yet to take measures to further bury the enchanted pond, though has planes are doing so herself one day.
