Description[]
Thin but strong, very long but thin wings that reach the midpoint in their tail, weak forelimbs strong hindlimbs. Are capable of high bursts of movements
Abilities[]
Electrical control, creating electricity. For GodWings with the mutation, extreme electrical control, able to even detect and control nervous systems for short periods of time. For double mutation holders, all of the above amplified plus they can turn parts of themselves into electricity.
Are some of the only dragons who's family trees can sustain large amounts of Devil Fruit usage.
Location[]
The GodWing Kingdom is located in the 'underbelly' of Phyrria, between the SandWings, RainWings, and SkyWings
Diet[]
The GodWings are mostly carnivores, but also eat certain grains. They eat fish, rice, bears, etc. They need high content proteins, to sustain their powers.
Alliances[]
The GodWings have shaky relationships with The MudWings and SkyWings, and downright HATE the SeaWings. They have good relations with other tribes and extremely strong alliances with the SandWings and Rain/NightWings
Names[]
GodWings normally name their dragonets after land/air based natural disasters, such as thunderstorm, earthquake, natural events, such as lightning, and wildfire, in one case, a synonym of a disaster, with King Catastrophe, and indirect synonyms, such as the late Queen Carnage. Terms that have 2 words or more without a hyphen, either have the term condensed, remove some of the words, or just use a hyphen. An example of this, Elmo's Fire was reduced from St. Elmo's Fire. Nobility and Royalty often use polytheistic gods names, (Indra, Odin, etc)
Some dragons may be named after destructive elements, such as Uranium, Plutonium, etc. In dragons that range from central nobility to the ruling King/Queen, a title is used, either of a synonym of one of the names, or, if one is higher up, celestial bodies. One example to this is King Catastrophe, who has the epithet 'Supernova'
Abilities[]
Electric control[]
Godwings' main ability is electrical control, which is rumored to be a result of a common ancestor between them and leafwings. Their electrical control cannot get stronger through selective breeding.
The only way to nullify this power (only temporarily) is to keep a dragon in constant cold.
Breath attack[]
The fire of a normal GodWing is much hotter than a normal dragon's, which allowed them to expand and militarize rapidly. When paired in conjunction with electric control, their fire becomes slightly purple and much hotter, but also more unstable.
Electroreception[]
All GodWings have this ability, where they detect living beings with electrical signals. This is rumored to be the result of sharks in their evolutionary tree, or just an application of their powers.
Power boosts[]
GodWing can literally speed up their nervous system using electrical signals. This increases their speed, strength, and reaction time
Governmental structure[]
Circuits[]
Circuits are a formation of all the royal siblings in one generation. They command jobs, such as generals, governors, etc. When a Royal challenge occurs, the challenger has to fight the entire circuit to get the throne. The members of the circuit other than the monarch cannot have dragonets, so that multiple circuits are not created .
Nobles[]
The Nobles are often descendants of high ranking soldiers and governmental officials. Their families are often extremely wealthy, with new occupations being business dragons, foreign investors, diplomats, or executers of war.
Challenges[]
When a challenge is issued, GodWings send out messengers to other every tribe in order to publicize this event. Either it works to make a new heir seem strong, or the original queen seem strong.
History[]
12 Years Post scorching[]
Just after the scorching, the first Queens began to emerge. The Godwings began skirmishes with SkyWings for control of the Claws of the Clouds.
The GodWing Queen, Queen Athena, forged alliances with NightWings and RainWings, The Sourthern Alliance, for the purpose of combating SandWings, SkyWings, and IceWings, who made up the Northern Alliance.
A World War broke out between the Southern and Northern Alliances, which eventually ended in a ceasefire after the death toll began mounting too high.
3000 years after scorching[]
The tyrannical Queen Lonsdaliate was a brutal dictator, but had ended up massively industrializing the GodWings, and invented many things, such as conductive spears, walls capable of being reformed with electricity, electric armor, and deep fried turkey leg stuffed inside thirteen donuts all deep fried and stuck inside a mountain goat before deep frying it.
During the war between the IceWings and NightWings, the GodWings sent over food to the Night Kingdom, but then annexed the territory after the NightWings fled, and fought the SandWings to create a land strip between the territories.
Relationship with NightWings and RainWings completely demolished.
War of SandWing succession.[]
POSSIBLE TW: ABUSE/VIOLENCE
During the SandWing war of Succession, the GodWIngs intimidated the IceWings to stay out of the war, and placed their support on Blaze, in order to subjugate the Kingdom of Sand. During this time, Queen Carnage ascended to the throne and was a brutal tyrant, banishing her son, Catastrophe, to a remote island in the Ice Kingdom as a punishment for not having powers. Catastrophe later found the Rumble fruit, and ate it. Using this power, he went on a bit of a rampage, ripping through the IceWing capital to punish the queen who kept him there, and, after taking significant damage, fled to the Scorpion Den. Catastrophe was found by Thorn, who inducted him into the Outclaws. He climbed the ranks well, but eventually left. Right before he left, he informed Thorn of his plan to challenge Carnage.
After that, he escaped to the rainforest, where he raided a GodWing exile camp, and freed the prisoners there. He also began gathering an 'Army of the Lower Class', with those being oppressed by Queen Carnage found their ideals being reflected in the fallen prince. It was at this time he earned the title, 'Supernova'. During an expedition into the rainforest, He found and ate the String fruit. After training his second fruit, he was taught Armament and Observation haki, eventually leveling them both up to Ryuo and Future Sight, respectively. He also unlocked Conquerors Haki.
Around 3 weeks before the invasion, Catastrophe ended up being found and followed by the now Queen Glory. after leading her to believe he didnt see her, he suddenly whipped around and cut off a section of her wings using his strings. he then transformed into electricity and followed her to the RainWing village, where he spotted and ate a devil fruit, which turned out to be the Tremor fruit.
After news reached him that Thorn had achieved complete control over the scorpion den, the dragonet went to his mother figure in order to make an alliance, which went through. He also sent delegates to the RainWing Kingdom, after finding out their invasion plans, and promised them his manpower in exchange for an alliance. They accepted, and he went into the NightWing kingdom.
While Prince Catastrophe was building his army, all of his sisters were killed after each of them attempted to take the throne to save their brother.
A few months before the end of the war, a deep split between the GodWings emerged as Prince Catastrophe had gathered enough supporters to officially break away from the rest of the GodWing Kingdom, taking the Claws of the Clouds, and establishing the Red League.
Catastrophe eventually took his army, and razed the entire capital to the ground, breaching directly into the throne room, and in a historic event, for the first time since the scorching, a male dragon was challenging for the throne. After fighting Queen Carnages entire circuit, and winning, Catastrophe fought both his mother and father, at the same time. During the battle, Catastrophe's wings were targeted, and eventually were ripped off. In the very end, in a remarkable historic event, and for the first time in over 5000 years, a King had taken the throne.
A few weeks before the end of the war, King Catastrophe sent his best admirals, Katakuri, Akainu, Mihawk, Aramaki, Cracker and Catasrophe himself, to kidnap the rival SandWing princesses, which worked, and gave him more political influence out of any other monarch. After Sunny went to King Catastrophe during a political meeting with Thorn, where Thorn recognized Sunny as her daughter, Catastrophe eventually agreed to release the princesses after their demands were met, which they eventually were.
Jade mountain era[]
King Catastrophe sent three of his siblings, Law, Luffy, and Eustass, along with two commoners, Bonney and Brulee
Qibli went to King Catastrophe, and after noting he was only as old as the dragonets of destiny, handed him the darkstalker proof earring. Qibli noted it was weird for his eyes to widen in shock, look at the left wall, and frantically put on the earring, eventually soldering it in place with his electricity. The confusion faded when Darkstalker had invaded the palace to take back the talon peninsula. They fought for a bit, but eventually, one of Catastrophe’s lightning bolts ripped through Darkstalker and he fled.
Lost Continent[]
The GodWings sent over a dragon for the task force, and King Catastrophe arrived at the meeting called between the monarchs. He was interested in trade routes, and especially interested in 'gazelles'.
Description[]
Base[]
GodWings are thin and short dragons, around half a head smaller than rainwings. They have long claws shapes like needles, and relatively weak hindquarters. Some GodWings have a set of two claws on their hind legs to act as a “taser”. They have thin but long wings, that usually extend from their neck to the midpoint of their tail. They have straight horns pointed back, and extremely hard scales. Their bone and keratin structures are electricity conductive, while their inner body is lined with insulation. The only way for a GodWing to kill another GodWing with pure electricity is to attack between the scales. GodWing scales are usually whitish blue on the underbelly and dark colors on their back to act as counter shading. GodWing royalties and high nobility have those scales as base, but also bright colors in between, such as red patterns, to serve as intimidation. They have extremely long tails, sometimes even double their body length, which is tipped with an electric spur. They can also temporarily go bipedal.
Strength[]
Despite their weak and thin appearance, GodWings are extremely powerful and fast, judging by how Catastrophe was able to overpower Glory by dodging her movements. They have a large ratio of fast-twitch fibers, allowing for extreme power. GodWings can easily rip open most other dragons, which allowed for their large expansion. They have weak hindquarters but strong front arms, allowing them to rip through the rainforest canopy with ease.
Trivia[]
Catastrophe was originally a dragonet of destiny.
In this AU, Starflight had his thrice-moon NightWing powers, and had never had blind.
After Catastrophe defeated Carnage, the IceWings took the GodWing's place as Blaze's allies.
