Appearence
Don't remind me, I'm a chickadee in love with the sky.
But that's clearly not a lot to crow about.
Cause when the stars silhouette me,

Fade is an unusual dragonet, but not enough to make anyone remember her in an instant. She's quite small, compared to other dragons, but average size for a Night/Rain hybrid since they... are pretty small in general. Her body is thin, so she isn't very strong. Her tail is almost always drooping down, sometimes curled up. She wanders around unsteadily, showing her timid nature. Her wings are average sized, though (ironically) she likes flying more than walking.
Her head might interest you the most, because of her double horns, reminiscent of both NightWing and RainWing. The NightWing horns are black, while the RainWing ones lilac. That may remind you of the Espeon, which has four ears. Under her horns is her RainWing ruff, which is magenta and light pink.
Her underbelly is in alternating stripes of pale pink, dark blue and magenta. Even though she is part RainWing, she cannot change colors, except for changing into her other form, which will be explained later. She still retains the NightWing signature star scales on her deep purple wings.
She noticed you, then suddenly her scales flashed into a transparent pale lilac, like a ghost. You gaze wide-eyed. Her colors are lost, everything turned white and lilac. Even her eyes are just white circles with lilac fillings. You rubbed your eyes - what? Then she was back, with all her original color, apologizing and asking if she scared you. Her talons keep on flickering between colorful and glowy and you might wonder if you are having a seizure or something.
No, you are not hallucinating. That's her power.
In Modern timeline, Fade wears a pitch-black Alan Walker hoodie with the AW sign glowing white on her back. Her clothes turn spectral with her when she uses her powers, but the Alan Walker sign on her back remains glowing no matter what.

Fade is a timid dragon, afraid of outsiders in the big wide world.
Her biggest personality trait is that she is very shy, unsure of herself, so you won't be expecting her to just walk up to you and say hi. She keeps her head down and looks at her talons, afraid to step out of her comfort zone. She doesn't like to try out new things, unless it's something she really likes. Due to her overall shy personality, Fade has terrible stage fright. If she was somehow on a stage in front of a large crowd, she would almost immediately turn into Spectral Fade and dive backstage.
She also has a very vivid imagination due to constantly observing things around her, both in the real world and the spirits she occasionally see. She uses this as creativity and writes/draws pictures in JMA. She also loves reading, but she prefers to be alone when reading. Perhaps her imagination causes her to have wild dreams and nightmares.
Fade is caring, because she would do anything for her friends. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, not to mention kill. She isn't the smartest dragon in the world. But since she is weak in strength compared to other dragons, she doesn't rely on strength to get out of anything, instead she uses distraction for a quick escape. She is not much of a natural born leader, but she does get on her talons when something is wrong. And she's determined to find out why.

Seven years ago, Fade hatched in a nest on a cliff.
Her mother Rainer is a RainWing guard. Rainer helped her to survive in the rainforest. Her father Umbreon was gone, and she didn't know where he went. Fade did not know anything about Umbreon, other than that he was once Rainer's partner in guarding the rainforest. In the rainforest, meh dragons usually ignored her because they don't see her around.
Soon, Rainer sent her to JMA because of her own guard duties. There, she met her friends, and stayed there until she journeyed off with them to find Umbreon and bring him back.
More will be explained in Faded.

Fade's only power is strange: turning into a transparent pale lilac spirit "Spectral Fade", she calls herself because nobody else knew what term to call. In this form, she can pass through solid matter and fly without flapping her wings. She cannot be harmed by normal dragons, but she also cannot touch anything at all.
Spectral Fade can see and talk to ghosts and spirits. But no normal dragon could hear her talk. But they sure can see her. So she practices talon sign language to communicate with her friends in this form.
When Fade gets stressed, she gets "The Jitters", where parts of her flicker between Spectral form and normal form. The jitters usually last for a few minutes, so Fade would find a place to hide to wait it out, or she may hide the flickering part behind her. If she is seen like this, she usually quickly apologizes before running away and hiding.
