This replaces the page of my first character ever, Lionheart. She wasn't good enough for this world. Astro is just based off the character of Ralsei personality-wise. With some additional design features taken from the character too.

appearance ~
A near-sighted NovaWing of magical roots who obsesses over the stars. This is the typical description he gives to anyone who is asking. His main scales are on the dark spectrum of blues and purples and often collide together beautifully. Though the dark blues are much more prominent than the purple. As though the midnight sky itself decided to wrap itself around him. To melt into his scales and shine like stars in a dark sky. The deep purples can be seen twirling on and out in dusty streaks across Astro's main scales. These said scales produce a sort of warmth and very faint light. Much like that of a star.
While still on the cool side, a much light navy blue underbelly goes across his front. Some hints of a light purple can be seen in this underbelly too. A similar color is seen in the large puff of fluff around his neck, nestling his head. The only difference is that this fluff is a few shades darker than his underbelly. Flecks of orange, green, and red can be seen in his fur, like little sprinkles. Dark navy blue horns are seen on his head, just barely failing to be perfectly straight. Though barely seen, his wings are a dark crimson with starbursts of orange, red, and scarlet splattered across. Ebony stars and diamonds can be seen on the underside of these wings. Swirling like a complex solar system, dancing upon his membranes.
Wrapping his body is a pastel green cloak with a black heart-shaped pattern in the center. While there are holes for his wings to fit through, he still hides them underneath the silken fabric. Astro's legs, though the exact same coloration as the rest of his body, have dark midnight blue scales across the front. Though most of it, much like his wings, is covered, like navy spines go down his back. These don't caress his head, rather they start from the swath of fluff. His spines are melted together, making something of a SandWing-like sail going down the back. This "sail," however, is much closer to the body and is wavier than a SandWing's.
His stature is short, much like his adopted sibling. Even though those are the only physical features they share. The NovaWing's eyes are a washed out aquamarine that leans more into blue than green. In front of these eyes are a pair of pastel green spectacles that tuck behind his large, furry ears. The lens are shiny and well taken care of. Circling around his neck, surrounded by fluff is a hot magenta scarf made out of wool. His talons are a dulled down coloration of his main scales, similar in color to his horns.
personality ~
Known solely as "the good kid," at school, it can be said that Astro is one to abide by the rules, though doesn't force others to follow them, only softly hinting at it. He is, seemingly, the embodiment of good, at least that's what most think anyway. Astro seems to have a weird admiration to those who are brave enough to break the rules. Knowing in his heart of hearts that he would never be bold enough to do such a thing. This is mostly aimed towards his slightly younger sibling, Felix, who is by most means mischievous and a rulebreaker. Even then, he still scolds them when they do something bad.
While he is very knowledgeable when it comes to advice and magic (specifically healing and baking magic), Astro isn't really up to date on the latest technologies. After all, he views magic to be much more convenient than some "janky tech" in his words. The NovaWing has a large vocabulary that he uses on a daily basis.

- never had any friends past his sibling, doesn't know how to make friends. actually, he does have one friend, his astronomy teacher.
- always wants to make a good first impression and often worries about if he did make one or not after an encounter with someone new.
- maternal and caring, willing to help anyone, even if that person is actually taking advantage of him.
- would bend over backwards to make someone he cares about happy.
- wants him and his family to stay healthy, no matter what. this is usually directed at his sibling, whom he usually has to carry to school when they oversleep. which is often.
- has a few identity issues, isn't quite sure what "being himself" is, as he believes kindness will make others like him.
- still working on this privately. hasn't really talked about this with anyone other than his sibling. doesn't like talking about it too much and is very private about it.
- naïve, the downside of being so kind and soft to everyone. sees in the best in everyone, but this often leads to him being stepped on.
- very adamant about not fighting others, even when violence is blatantly the only answer. can only be persuaded to use violence if no other nonviolent ways can't be done. even then, he does it with hesitance.
- deep interest in astronomy, but is still learning.
- tries not to get mad or disappointed. even when someone hurts him and he has every reason to be both. can sometimes get upset when his sibling does something very bad.
- brave, even if he can be a bit shy. tends to get flustered when others give him gifts.
- lawful, can get bossy when dragons close to him don't follow the rules.
abilities ~
His baking skills are by most means good, even if they could certainly use a bit of work. He has a compassion for making cake and similar sweets that he can give to those he cares about. It's a way of showing his affection towards someone, in the form of pastries.
history ~
dang it, i'm redoing this.
- hatched to wizard parents, both were odd in their own ways, though his mother was much more "normal" than his father.
- at a young age they took in a young seawing named felix, who was strange, just like the rest of them.
- while it took awhile to get close to them, the two developed a very strong sibling-like bond. astro is willing to do almost anything for his younger sibling (though there wasn't too big of a age gap between the two).
- parents split up when the two siblings started going into 2nd grade. father was thought of a disgrace towards the family name. the two still live somewhat close to one another, but they never talk to one another anymore.
- mother prided the family name and their legacy of magic use. father wanted to stick to a traditional happy family that limited the use of magic.
- relationship grew bitter from those conflicting opinions.
- astro is still close with his father and although his mother doesn't like him, she allows both of her dragonets talk to him.
- mother is a teacher that works at an elementary school near where astro and felix currently go to high school.

trivia ~
- inspired off of ralsei from deltarune. who is one of my favorite characters from the franchise.
- though he may have some qualities of asriel from deltarune as well. though since this character isn't too fleshed out, there are only hints of him in astro and felix's brotherly relationship.
- signature cake is a cinnamon spice cake with vanilla frosting. often is rather heavy on the frosting. is learning how to cook from a caldron like his parents, but isn't as good as them.
- i would've put a witch's hat on him, but i didn't know how to draw that so i left it off of his design.
- the magic astro and his mother use is NOT animus magic. this wizard magic is much more limited (it's mostly broken down into categories and most wizards would choose a single category to master) and takes a long time to master fully.
- might have some inspiration from the owl house as well, i'm not sure.
