appearance
a pretty, doll-like young nightwing with a sweet smile and a disarmingly innocent demeanor, it’s no wonder eros is often mistaken for a girl. his figure is delicate and dainty, with long, slender legs and a thin snout. he is quite flexible, and is very good at fitting into small spaces.
eros’ scales are a rich, deep pink, petal-like in texture and shape. his scales flake off easily when he is injured, and he is quick to bruise and scar. he can often be seen with massive bruises on his legs, attributed to carelessness.
his underbelly is velvety, a dusty rose color. at earlier points in eros’ life, one would be able to count his ribs through his underbelly, but this is no longer the case.
eros’ eyes are stunning, a striking indigo-violet with long, dark eyelashes. surrounding his large eyes are pale pink circular markings that resemble eyeshadow, as well as a pair of heart-shaped teardrop scales.
these heart markings continue down his neck, which is elegant and swanlike in its curvature. these markings are a dusty rose in color, the same as his underbelly.
his accessories, contrasting with his candy-colored scales and sweet personality, are often dark and gothic in nature. spiked chokers, heart earrings, black fishnets, and heart-shaped sunglasses are a mainstay of his style.
his voice is quite high, especially for a boy's. it's sweet and cutesy, and when he is agitated or sarcastic, it slips into a valley-girl-esque affectation. he's adept at mimicking others' voices.
personality
bubbly, cheerful, and cheeky, eros is very fun to be around. eros exudes a sort of natural, naïve charm that draws people to fae.
fae are usually upbeat and sunshiny, seemingly not taking offense to anything.
abilities
- mind-reading: hatched under one moon, eros possesses the ability to read minds.
- bite: thanks to his incredibly distant rainwing genetics, the toxic bacteria in eros’ teeth is slightly more potent than other nightwings’.
- fashion sense: while not a true skill in the traditional sense, eros has an eye for color and design in many aspects.
- acting: eros is very much able to put up a believable facade, whether cheery, upset, or anything else in between.
- vocal talents: thanks to his naturally high and feminine voice, eros is quite easily able to sound like a girl.
history
hatched in an isolated house located near the sandwing kingdom, eros’ life was one of tears and anguish, all caused by hellraiser, his assassin father. his mother, perihelion, left as soon as he hatched. perihelion had no desire for a dragonet, let alone a son-even one as effeminate as eros. so eros was stuck with hellraiser as his parent.
hellraiser was a bully and a brute, going hot and cold on his son. eros much preferred hellraiser’s “cold” days to his “hot” ones-being ignored was better than being yelled at and hit, after all. eros cherished the days that his father was gone on “business”.
the thing that hellraiser would belittle eros most for, though, was the dragonet’s feminine appearance and demeanor. as such, eros retreated into not himself, but into a whole different persona-that of the lovely, demure, gentle girl everyone mistook him for at first sight.
eros reveled in the adoration and affection he would get from others as this female alter ego. he craved it, became dependent on it to feel good about himself.
