Dilong is a female AviWing belonging to Flight.

Appearance[]
The Dilong had protofeathers. Though the colors have not been determined, it is possible that the males had brightly-colored feathers for display. My feathers might resemble those. And why they are bright? I do not know.

Dilong's feathers resemble those of birds of paradise, if they can be related to those of any birds at all. They start as pitch black with an iridescent sheen at the tip of her tail and gradually morph into different colors, including a rich violet, golden, and turquoise. A golden streak runs down her back. Her eyes are completely black. Dilong's theory for the appearance of her feathers is that they resemble the protofeathers of the Dilong, but this is weakly, if not at all, supported.
Personality[]
She's nice... talks too much... interrupts work with weird theories about dinosaurs living on an unexplored island.

Dilong is similar to Deinonychus; she takes her studies seriously and loves dinosaurs with a passion. However, she is more outgoing and prefers to work in groups while Deinonychus likes to work alone. She is also extremely intelligent, and this helps her classify new fossil specimens faster than her colleagues. Dilong's interests still prevent her from having friends not involved in her field.

Dilong views Deinonychus as her closest friend. They met at Jade Mountain Academy in the library when both of them reached for the same fossil scroll at the same time. Both of them became paleontologists, but as Deinonychus started focusing on her work, they grew more distant, with Deinonychus sending Dilong to the Sea Dispatch adding to the separation.
Cambrian[]
I guess Cambrian's nice. She focuses on her work and I like that. But she's really weird... like when she said a leaf was an Anomalocaris.

Dilong likes the young SeaWing, but still thinks she's kind of awkward and should get some help for her strange hallucinations. Cambrian trains under Dilong and practically worships the older dragon.
Antirrhopus[]
For an AviWing, she's pretty cool. Never expected THAT.

Dilong views the arrogant SkyWing as a pain in the tail, but also knows that she is a valuable colleague. The two don't exactly agree on everything, but they generally like each other.

- Her name is that of a dinosaur, Dilong paradoxus.
- Her colors are in fact made up and not supported with evidence. Sorry.
- She is based off of me. I debate over whether to make her my dragonsona or Deinonychus.
