🐂 Dexter 🐂 ▼scroll▼ THIS CHARACTER IS A PART OF THE SFAU Dexter was a crewmate on Ursa's boat, a bulky SkyWing/MudWing and Costa's surrogate brother. He is now but an empty husk, incapable of speech, thought or emotion. While he is technically alive, his mind isn't, and in a very spiritual sense, is gone forever, and will never come back. His SpiritFlower is Yellow Fennel and is based off of the Spiritfarer character Mickey (The bull) Appearance Body: Dexter is a large, hulking behemoth of a dragon, taller than almost all of the crewmates. He is muscly rather than fat like most MudWings, however his SkyWing genes from his father gave him large wings and a long tail. He has fennel growing out of his neck as his SpiritFlower and white, glowing eyes. His horns are curved and large, like a bulls and his claws are large and sharp. His expression is forever fixed in a mindless smile because of the absence of his conscious. Coloration: Dexter's scales are varying shades of dark chocolate brown, and his wing membrane is a brownish blood red. At the edges of his wings are a darker shade of this red, arranged in curving bounce patterns at the end of the membrane. Accessories: He wears no accessories except a large, scarlet cloth wrapped around his neck, chest, and shoulders with a curtain of the same cloth hanging off of his left shoulder. Personality Dexter's personality is long gone, along with his conscious. However, when he was alive Dexter was stoic, brash, and unrelenting, as well as a risk-taker, however he cared immensely for Costa. Abilities Physical: He can breath fire, and fly very fast, but that's basically it. He is also very naturally brawny, and Costa claims that he once slammed someone into a glass window display for mocking Costa when they were alive. Mental: None, really. Strengths: - Can breath fire & fly fast - Very brawny Weaknesses: - Not very smart. - Was alcoholic Orientations & Romance Status: Single, Costa will make sure of it. Sexuality: Aroace, Costa claims Gender: Cismale, He/Him pronouns Trivia Would never you hug him if he were truly here but since he's gone he'll let you pat him Loved marble on everything Drank tequila and beer a lot when he was alive. According to Costa, he's never lost a fight, but considering Dexter's past, this is not true. Costa claims that when Dexter was alive, he was "real popular with the chicks" but now isn't interested in s/x life. He probably says this because of Dexter's obvious incapability to even express or experience love/romance. Named after the Dexter Bull Could have picked up rapping as a profession when he was alive but didn't have a very good singing voice. Costa says that he's glad they chose crime instead.

🪲 Costa 🪲 ▼scroll▼ THIS CHARACTER IS A PART OF THE SFAU Costa is a small RainWing, a crewmate on Ursa's boat. He is Dexter's surrogate brother, and his "translator" (even though he doesn't say anything). He leads Dexter's body around the ship, in denial that Dexter simply is not there anymore. While a SpiritFlower does not grow on his body, he shares a SpiritFlower with Dexter, making his SpiritFlower Yellow Fennel. He is based off of the SpiritFarer character Bruce (The hummingbird on Mickey's back) Appearance Body: Costa bears - despite his sour personality - a very small build, about a head taller than Ursa. He is sickly thin, even a bit malnourished in very stark contrast to his muscly brother. He has RainWing ruffs and a long, prehensile tail, as well as white glowing eyes. His expression is almost always fixed into a somewhat intimidating scowl, and on his neck is a large, old gash. Costa has never spoke about where he got this scar and under what circumstance, though to a nurse's eye like Ursa's, it looks very deep and possibly the wound that killed him. Coloration: Costa, like any other RainWing is a conundrum of different colors. In a feather-like pattern, his scales range from green to yellow to blue and red. His underbelly is a bright lemon yellow, and his mainscales above that is a rich moss green. Patterns on his throat and face is lime green, as are his shoulders too. The top of his head, ending under his eyes is dark cyan. His muzzle and edge of his wings are a dark red, a similar color to Dexter's wings. This color also appears as stripes on his tail. His wings are a round gradient outwards from lime to green to the dark red, and his spines are a black-ish shade of red. His horns and claws are also white. Accessories: He wears no accessories, though had a knife sheath when he was alive. Personality Costa is a tough nut, in the sense that he's both hard to get along with, and hard to comfort. He is very sour, with a scowl on his face all the time. He is cold and brutal to practically everyone he knows except Dexter, lashing out and bullying them with total disregard for their personal feelings. He has a habit of shoving people out of his personal life and accusing them of being pushy or rude, either that or he downright physically attacks them if he's feeling bad enough, even though he knows they're just trying to help. In every respect, he's a very broken dragon, burdened by his big brother's husk. Deep down he's extremely lonely and depressed because of his brother's loss, since he knows that he's gone, he just refuses to come to terms with it. He often cries himself to sleep in his brother's arms in secret. Because of this, he is extremely angry most of the time, trying to mask his pain by appearing tough and rude, like his brother used to be. While he is extremely fragile on the inside he tries his best to act like his older brother did when he was alive, brash, stoic, and nasty. He is also extremely protective of Dexter and would protect him with his life, and usually tries to shoo others away from him even if he knows they mean no harm. He is also a very prideful dragon boasting about anything that he succeeds or excels at, and prefers only the best for him and his brother, though not egocentric. Despite all of this, Costa is actually a very caring and selfless dragon. For anyone that he trusts enough, he will protect them with his life and give them the world, like Dexter, taking care of them when they aren't strong enough and having their back in every event they go through with. He is loyal to no end and would practically kill god if it meant protecting a loved one. He is also very selfless and ends up forgetting to care for himself, caring for Dexter instead. However, he only shows this to Dexter, because he's the only dragon he truly trusts. He also has a sense of humor that he locked in a cage which he incinerated and which's ashes were thrown into the ocean and which's key was eaten by none other than Costa himself. He also has a total disinterest in most things, even the things he used to like and doesn't usually like engaging in actual social interactions like fully-fledged conversations and most events like parties or gatherings. Abilities Physical: Tribal abilities such as venom (which he is not afraid to use) and camouflage. He can also be very stealthy and quiet, and is skilled with a knife. Mental: His soul is broken, so as such he has no other strengths outside of physical ones. Strengths: - Has one of Pyrrhia's strongest biological weapons, and he is not afraid to use it. - Has an intimidating enough attitude that not he scares most people away from him. - Very sneaky Weaknesses: - A crippled soul and possibly has clinical depression. - Extremely weak and fragile, both inside and outside. - Keeps to many secrets from those who care about him. If you can't even shoplift, then how are you gonna survive the world in all it's cruelty?" - Upon Ursa refusing to help Costa shoplift some supplies. - "What'r you lookin' at?" - Before becoming a Lost Spirit. - "I didn't plan this life for me and my brother. They used to call me the Talker. I could talk your ear off. I would never shut up. However, right now... I don't want to talk. I should just be like my brother and take a moment. Pause and listen... Yeah. And think for a change. Fat chance. At my age, nothing is impossible. Nobody changes. Anybody that tells you otherwise is lying. Or trying to sell you something. The only thing I'd rather be is true to myself. That might make me an a/shole in the end. That might make me a loyal brother to this guy here. None of this sh/t matters. None of it... Do you know why we're here? It's because I have a small imagination. I can't see beyond my back streets, my town, my friends, my family. More importantly, I can't see a life beyond my brother. If he goes, I go... Which I guess is why my mental state is such a wreck. I'll admit, I cried. A lot. Considered ending myself. A lot. because I knew my brother wasn't there anymore. And I guess... In actuality, Costa is extremely weak in a fight. Hates being patronized or seen as lazy. Hates the smell of coffee beans. Named after Costa's Hummingbird. Would give the world for Dexter. Costa isn't his real name, it was the one Dexter gave him, his given name is Quetzal though he hates being called that. Has a Boston accent, for some reason. Toadstool loves it when he says "Park the car in harvard yard" because it sounds funny with his accent. Has a kitten sneeze. Has an undiagnosed case of clinical depression.
