Note: I created this on Google docs first, and I apologize if I use characters with the same name as your OC's. I didn't steal them. Also, the ending might be standard Disney. If you don't like happy endings, don't read this.

Prologue -- Desert

It was dark. And rainy. Classic horror story setting, except Desert was not turning back, she needed this. Desert was in a large canyon, surrounded by rock, stone, earth. Behind her, was a SkyWing, this Skywing was bleeding from many scratches and was walking.

"Come ON you lizard, if I can't fly at least walk fast!" Desert shouted at the SkyWing. "I have until midnight to get you in, and you're too slow!"

"maybe. . . you don't h-have to c-c-c-catch me?" The dragon sputtered "I-I mean, I have money. . . you know"

"I know, but this is more than money. It's honor.

Desert came to an underground tavern. As she burst through the tarp door, dragon looked up from their drinks, saw her, and went back to their drinks. Desert dragged the SkyWing to a large NightWing in the corner of the cave.

"Desert." The NightWing chuckled "you are too good."

"I want the next job. Now" Desert growled as two MudWing dragged away the SkyWing.

"That WAS the last job. You snagged the hardest, you should celebrate, get a drink." The NightWing smiled creepily.

Desert looked at him. " Stormseeker, I want another job."

"Sheesh. Fine, whatever. But this is the hardest job, ever. nobody has ever caught her." Stormseeker chuckled.

"Who?" Desert was getting excited "An assassin? A rogue? Who?"

Stormseer pushed a piece of paper in front of her. A small dragon shape was carved ever so slightly. "you don't know her. Nobody in the underworld does. Princess Sunny."

Chapter One -- Starseer

I rolled. "Hey that's cheating!" I yelled. Annoyed. I hated battle practice, (well, you could call it battle practice. Other dragons called it revenge).

The dragon I had pickpocketed, Nightwhisper, was glaring at me "where, IS MY MONEY!" She snarled. "IF I DON'T FIND IT, I WILL HAVE A NEW PAIR OF WINGS ON MY WALL!"

I cracked a smile, " Well, I don't have it, but I know who does. . . " I said smoothly "there is the SandWing, male, tall, has brown horns. I gave him the money, he's going to fly back to Possibility tonight. He lives by the large kapok."

Of course she fell for it. Nightwhisper always fell for the 'tall, strong male dragon' trick. I could see it. And of course, she did.

"Oh, really?" Nightwhisper smiled, showing her dark teeth. "Oh, well, I might show him some. . .battle tricks, while I take him down" Nightwhisper smiled and strutted away.

"Works like a charm." I said as soon as she was out of earshot, I pulled out a small dark blue bag full of silver coins. This was enough for dinner. As I was walking to the back of the Night Kingdom, I noticed a RainWing landing nearby. Odd. I thought. RainWings didn't usually come.

"NightWings!" A large voice yelled from the center of the town.

I rushed over to the square, eager to see what was going on. When I finally broke through the sea of dragons, I saw a large, female RainWing sitting on a carved throne made from a epiphytes. She wore a long flower garland and had a sloth wrapped around her shoulders.

"It is time for five new dragons to go to Jade Mountain Academy. I have selected... Clearmoon."

A mind-reading NightWing jumped up and shouted "YAY!" repeatedly.

" And Skiá." That shy NightWing without any power smiled happily.

" Timeshifter." The weird dragonet who spoke to things yelped with happiness.

"Austero and Starseer." With that, the RainWing leaped into the dark sky and flew away. Leaving me puzzled.

I'm going to be a student at Jade Mountain?

Chapter Two -- Desert

The easiest way to infiltrate Jade Mountain was to be a student. And the easiest was to be a student was kidnapping.

Desert quickly stashed a knocked out SandWing named Xerocole. Taking his place she quickly infiltrated JMA. As she was going to look for the quarry, a bright, happy NightWing jumped in front of her.

"Woah! I need to know your name! I'm Fatespeaker, speaker of fates! I've been here for 6 years and I love the prey center, you should go there! Anyway, your Claw-mate is going to be-- Oh HEY! Look, it's a Starseer! She's going to be your Claw-- Oh Mi Gosh!! Petal??? YOUR HERRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Starseer looked odd. Like she was judging Desert's brain. "Sunny's down in the library, second door on the left tunnel."

Correction: That was odd.

"Um, I don't know what you mean? I'm Xerocole." Desert said happily "I'm five and I love eating hawks." Desert was sure this was not working, because Starseer clearly said:

"Uh-hu. Sure, Desert." Then she walked away.

Desert was confused until she said her name: Starseer! Of course she was a seer. A very powerful one, Desert guessed. She walked over to the cave assigned to her, Starseer, and some IceWing.

"Hi!" Said 'Some IceWing'. "I'm Puffin."

"Hi Puffin!" Starseer smiled brightly "Avoid Skiá. And eat the mountain goat before you eat the fish."

Puffin was very, very, VERY confused. "uh, sure, I call ledge!" Puffin jumped up to a jagged ledge-bed. Desert slumped onto a reed mat which left Starseer a pile of moss.

"Anyway, I'm Xerocole. I'm the daughter of one of Queen Thorn's soldiers." Of course, this is very far from true. Desert thought.

"I'm Starseer." Starseer said with a flick of her wings.

" You gotta tell us more than THAT!" Puffin smiled "Do you have a boyfriend? Have you ever had parrot stew? Do you have a pet?" The questions were still coming.

"I'm a pickpocketer, cheater, and thief. Happy?" And with that. Starseer left the cave.

Hmm. Maybe Starseer can be of some help.

Chapter Three -- Starseer (Warning: blood and gore)

Starseer knew exactly what was going to happen. Quite honestly, she wished she could stop it. "Don't go out hunting." She would say, but of course, dragons would not listen, giving her time to check the future.

Currently, Starseer was in history, but she could check the threads at any time.

Starseer pushed herself into Desert's future. But she didn't like what she saw.

It was war. SeaWings, SkyWings, and MudWings were being lead onto the vast desert, where SandWings, IceWings and even a few RainWings were waiting. The fight looked awful! Starseer peered in the clump of fighting dragons for Desert (or herself). I guess she found Desert.

Desert was in the center, with the Eye of The Onyx wrapped around her neck. She was fighting a pale green SeaWing. "You'll never win... Kelp."

"Y-your wrong, Desert. " The SeaWing snarled. And with a blood-curling scream, Kelp dove at Desert, ripping her wings apart and digging her claws into Desert's neck.

Desert yelled and tried to fight, but blood was seeping out of her scales and her wings were getting weaker. Her eyes paled as Desert slowly stopped moving and stiffened.

"Where's your friend now?" Kelp challenged. Kicking the dead body of Desert. "You never had a chance." With that, Kelp shot back into the sky "Come on! Were almost at victory!" She yelled, as the army soared to the palace.

Starseer could only stare at Desert's dead body. But then it moved, slowly, but her body moved and her jaw opened to whisper "Starseer, why?" before with an awful choking noise, fell silent. Forever.
