this is like the oldest most horribly cringe disaster I tried to read it but I almost crawled out of my skin. BIG REVAMP AHEAD

(Please don't say this is a Camp Gin Chi ripoff.. I wasn't inspired by that to make this, I was inspired by the temple in Dragonslayer, at one in the morning)

Cloud Spirit History[]

Before anything on the Dragon Planet existed, there was sky, endless sky. From that endlessness the Cloud Spirits rose. The Spirits controlled the air and were worshipped by many. Scavengers built them temples in the forest of them sitting on clouds (as seen in Dragonslayer).

The first Spirit to rise was Tiantang-sora. He was the ruler of the heavens, and built the Eternity Palace in the sky. He leads the Spirits peacefully with his Queen Fengbao-joki. She was the Spirit of Water vapor, humidity, tornados and storms. their first dragonets were twins, Yeijan-yosoku and Xingfu-heiwa.

The two were as different as night and day. Yeijan was the Spirit of night, chaos, unpredictability, the moon, and mistrust. While Xingfu was the Spirit of peace, happiness, trust, sunshine, warmth and clear skies. Their last Spirit child was Shandian-eko. Shandian, like her mother, was the Spirit of lightning, thunder, echoes, dawn, dusk, electricity, and electrical fires. Fengbao often creates storm with her youngest daughters help.

These were the main Five, the first few most powerful Spirits. There are ten less remembered Spirits called Minor Spirits, (free to make with my permission) that often live with mortals for periods of time.

The Eternity Palace[]

The Eternity Palace is a large complex of temples, columns, suspended on the clouds. The largest cloud holds up the Forever Fountain. Wishes to the Spirits appear in it's crystal clear waters. Marble columns hold on the next level, which is a large dome meant for council meetings. It is a circular room with no walls, a chair for each Spirit, and a golden mural on the roof.

Surrounding the palace are small clouds each holding up a shrine of each Spirit, some are smaller than others and are scattered randomly. The shrines are like homes to the Spirits, they sleep there and keep it tidy.

There is a ring of clouds around the sides and back of the palace, covered in the most wonderful green trees called the Zen Forest.

Cloud Spirit Appearance[]

Spirits normally have very pale scales, coming in almost any color (red/orange is rare). They have very dark markings down their neck, tail, arms, and legs. These markings often look like each scales was dipped in dark greens or blues at the end, and spotted in the middle. These may vary from Spirit to Spirit.

They can have many horns, up to four or five sets! Each horn is long and straight, but curls upwards slowly. Some Spirit horns look like a rams, but that is uncommon. Horns are the same dark shade as markings

Cloud Spirits have large feathered manes on there neck, some are small and some large. These manes are normally a brighter color than the main scales, and can be mixed in with darker colors.

One of the most breathtaking things about a Spirit's appearance is their wings. Spirit wings seem to fade into the clouds, disappearing to the fog as they fly faster then any tribe. How much the wing fades at the tips depends on the dragon, and how much they exercise their wings.

Cloud Spirit Naming[]

Spirits are named after their abilities. Let's take Tiantang-sora for an example. Tiantang means heaven in Chinese, meaning he is king of heaven, and sora means sky in Japanese, he was the first to rise from the sky.

In short the first part of the name is Chinese, second half is Japanese.

Half-Spirits[]

Half-Spirits are the children of Spirits and mortals. Unlike Demikami there are not enough Half-Spirits to make an entire camp, and then don't need protecting because nothing targets Half-Spirits specifically. The children of Minor Spirits are far more common than the children of the Main Five.

If the Half-Spirits Spirit parent doesn't have three horns or a large feather mane, the child will not have three horns or a large feather mane. But if the Spirit's wings are very transparent, and their marking are pronounced, the child will have transparent wings and markings.

Half-Spirits can be from any tribe.

(You must get permission from the creator of the Spirit to make a Half-Spirit.. it just makes sense)

Known Half-Spirits:

  • Kongqu-hiruma (Only Known Daughter of Tiantang)
  • Hua'an-yoake (Daughter of Liming)

Feel free to edit your Spirit or Half-Spirit on the list (if ya got permission)
