Appearance[]
Challenger Hornworm mostly looks like a CentiWing, muscular and armored, but with a few dainty SilkWing features, seeming out of place on his body. His bulky build is entirely CentiWing, and he has the pincer tail and thick, armored scales of one. However, they are a deep pink color, not the tribe’s normal earthy colors. He has no stripes or patterns on his scales, but his top scales and pincers are a slightly darker pink, and his underbelly is a bit more vibrant. He lacks the foreceps that usually appear on a CentiWing’s chest. Unlike normal CentiWings, he has spines on his back, similar to that of a SilkWing, but sharper. His horns resemble CentiWing horns, but point upwards instead of downwards. Both his spines and horns are a light grayish-pink.
Challenger’s eyes are small and beady black, but they have pale pink dots within them, a faint echo of colorful SilkWing irises. His face is entirely CentiWing, having a short, squarish snout, but lacking whiskers. Instead, he has a short pair of SilkWing antennae on his head right in front of his horns, which are the same color as his underbelly. He has a pair of useless wingbuds on his back.
Challenger can usually be seen with a stern, defeated look on his face, and his body language indicating to stay away. He has a few scars on more vulnerable parts of body, such as on his belly and neck, as if left by a battle. His talons are stained with something dark. Because of his battle-worn appearance and his expression resembling that of a soldier, one may be surprised to find out that he is barely an adult, still practically a dragonet.
