Description
Blood Finch has dark grey DeathWing scales with a lighter grey underbelly. She has a black stripe from her head to the end of her back and blood red wings. Her eyes are bright red– wide and crazed. She has decorated her exocranium with carved lines in the horns and splatters of dried blood. She hides thin daggers where her horns meet her “mask” and wears a golden thread attached to a dead bird skull; a souvenir of the first creature she killed. Considering she is a DeathWing/HiveWing hybrid, she seems to share very little features of her mother. The only genes that seemed to carry over was her black stripe and red color for her eyes and wings. Given genetics, because Blood Finch was the youngest dragonet in their clutch, more HiveWing features carried over to her dead siblings.

Abilities
Blood Finch is much smaller than other DeathWings her age, making her harder to detect in a crowd/shadows and swifter on the ground. You would never think she’d hurt a fly. Ambarta, however, is a terrifying assassin. She uses her size to her advantage, darting past her target as she slits their throat with her small daggers. She could throw these daggers, but she prefers up close and personal kills. Scariest of all, she inherited the venomous weaponry from her HiveWing mother, Missulena, and uses them either by spraying or shoving her claws into her target. Her mother taught her all the tricks of being a proper assassin. Yet she takes far too much pleasure in watching the light leave her victim’s eyes.

History
Blood Finch was the youngest of four eggs, making her the smallest, weakest, and least unique in terms of hybridization. However, she was born with her mother’s venomous claws. She knew she had to fight to prove herself to her parents. She didn’t want to be the weakest forever. But she wouldn’t have long to wait. A month after they hatched, Missulena took her and her siblings into the forest to hunt. She successfully killed a bird and kept the skull as a prize. Then her mother promised to forever love whichever one of them obeyed her forever, ordering them to kill each other as a test. Blood Finch happily accepted her opportunity to be the strongest and most loved. Without minimal hesitation, she killed each of her siblings with her venomous claws. She smiled wide at her mother, covered in the blood of her siblings. Missulena approved, warning her to always obey or she would join her siblings. They both lied to Storm Skull about what really happened to her siblings. From that day, Blood Finch— or “Ambarta,” as her mother deemed her assassin name —was trained to be a lethal and swift killer. She took advantage of her size and venomous claws, as well as developing skill with knives. And because of her mother’s manipulation, she became detached from the trauma; from reality. Blood Finch thought the only way she could be happy was if she obeyed her mother. And since she always told her to kill and do it well, her happiness correlated with death by her claws. Whenever she murdered, she had a wide and deranged smile on her face. Her love of killing only strengthened after she helped Maliketh take over the SkyWing Kingdom. Blood Finch/Ambarta was reduced— or promoted, if you ask Missulena —to a violent animal on a loose leash. And she’s only six (15-16 in human years).
