intro

Wandering Prosperity at night, you find the elusive entrance to The Night Market and slip inside under the watchful eye of a SandWing guard. Near the doorway, you find a stand owned by an unusual-looking dragon. They had four large HiveWing wings and a slightly insane grin. They fling open their wings and wave you closer.

“So! Good dragon, what shall it be?” They asked, offering a toothy grin. They waved a talon to showcase their merchandise and you see unusual fruits, plants, herbal remedies, potions, and talismans.

“What’s your name?” You ask, turning your gaze back up to the dragon.

“Bat the Witch!” They reply, the blazing white skull pendant on their necklace glittering. “Pleased to make your acquaintance!”

Bat has four HiveWings extending from their spine that are sturdier and thicker than a normal HiveWing’s. They have a small nose spike as well as a face spike and a HiveWing face horn. Their limbs are lithe but strong. Their tail is long and curled with a venomous barb on the end. They have light yet sturdy body with jagged, curled talons. Their horns tilt upwards and curl like a RainWing’s and a sail extends down their head/neck. They have thin HiveWing spikes between their wings and a sail extending from between their wings and down to the middle of their tail. The sail trails into spikes leading to the barb. They have a frill on each side of their head that they flare when angry.

coloration

Their main scales are a dark reddish purple and they have violet HiveWing markings on their face, as well a line of violet scales just above their underbelly. They have a bluer purple on the top of their head/their horns and a line of this shade along their back. The inside of their ears is a light teal/blue as well as the bottoms of their talons. Their wings are a dark teal with splatters of faint black. Their sail/spikes are a slightly lighter shade than their wings, and their underbelly is an even lighter variation of their sail. They have dark blue/teal scales up their limbs/wings. Their frill is the same violet as their facial scales. Their horns fade into black, and they have black markings decorating their barb. Their blood/the inside of their mouth are a rich dark Ruby red.

history (canon)

Bat was hatched in the tunnel between the rainforest and Sand Kingdom. They were raised in solitude except for the company of their parents. They didn’t have many friends, and disliked the lonely way of life. They left at the age of 4(DY). Traveling to the desert, they discovered their love for creating potions, and met their lifelong companion, Pyre, when accidentally taking a red-tailed hawk egg from a vendor. Bat soon set up a temporary shop in Prosperity’s Night Market, before going on a long trip across Pyrrhia, where they met North. North and Bat get along, but soon Bat had to move on to new places. Not long after departing Possibility, however, they returned to Prosperity and set up a permanent stall. They continued to sell potions and trinkets such as rabbits’ feet, bat fangs, fish scales and other things. They continued to live their life this way, and are happy with it.
