physical
Basilisk is lithe, thin and wiry. You can nearly see his ribs with his scrawny frame, but he never stops moving long enough to notice. Basil has sharp talons and long fangs, that are filled with venom. He has a venomless barb on the tip of his tail, as well as a shredded and tattered frill extending down his spine. He has a large frill that he flares when angry, resulting in his fearsome name. He has jagged scales up his wings, and RainWing scales down his body. He has a small nose-spike as well as a face-spike. He has a lined underbelly as well, and resembled a RainWing with his lengthy tail.
coloration
His frill and the undersides of his wings are usually a light lavender/lilac/blue. He has lighter lilac scales along his face and darker circles along his body. His frill is a dark purple, while us main scales are a dark blue-ish purple. His talons/limbs are covered by a stretch of black, and his horns are obsidian as well. The black stretches down from mid-leg to his talons, leaving the claws the same as his main scales. He has a pale sandy yellow underbelly. His eyes have a black pupil, lime green Iris, and a black sclera. He has a mask of black over each eye.

He has bands of silver extending up his horns, a band of Jade around his left wing-talon, and a silver ring around his left-front talon. His frill has 3 golden piercings and one Jade piercing. Another Jade piercing glints atop the sail on his head, and two golden ones shine from the sail on his spine. He has a dagger kept against his wrist with a leather band.

history (canon)
Basilisk hatched in the nighttime ebony sands of the desert, shrouded in a dune. Basilisk emerged from his egg to meet his parents, Peacock and Viper. Viper was a loving father and she cradled the little dragonet. Peacock was somewhat indifferent the the whole ordeal, and left soon after. Viper took her dragonet to an oasis out in the desert, and raised him in solitude. Basilisk soon began to hunt scorpions, facing down the fearsome insect and killing them for fun. Viper tried to discourage the behavior, but the fearless Basilisk when being just the mere age of 2 (DY) killed a Dragonbite viper. Basilisk was soon abandoned by his mother out of her fear of him, and he learned to fend for himself. By age 6 (DY) Basilisk had become a fearsome assassin, and was exceptionally skilled. He was often hired by Queens to deal with their competition or their daughters. Basilisk’s life continues the same.
