Aspen is quite long and thin, and has silver scales infused with silvery-green. He has LeafWing horns, but IceWing spikes. His wings are leaf-shaped, and he has evergreen-colored pine needle-like spikes coming off his wing arms. He has large, almond-shaped green eyes. His underbelly is white, and he has white sock-like scales on his feet. He has evergreen colored horns, with a mix of light yellow scales across them. He has evergreen and light yellow scales all over his body.

Aspen is very kind, and doesn't try to hurt anyone's feelings. He is very caring, and and is also quite funny. He can be nervous and anxious at times, like when meeting new dragons. He has a slight stutter when he talks. He can be a bit fiery, like when someone is hurting someone he loves, but he never feels like himself when he does that.

Aspen's mother, Elm, moved from Pantala with the rest of the LeafWings, and met Frost, a jittery 2nd-circle IceWing. They had two eggs, one containing Aspen, and the other holding his sister, named Evergreen. Evergreen, sadly, was very sick, and died when she was three. Frost had to stay in the Ice Kingdom, but Elm went with Aspen to live in the forest. Elm was later killed in a fire, and Aspen was on his own.

Aspen and Elm had a pretty good relationship, though sometimes things got a bit rocky. She was very stressed, and sometimes took her anger out on Aspen. She never hurt him, but she scared him a bit. Despite that, Aspen loved Elm.
Frost and Aspen were good friends for a while, but when Frost decided to stay at the Ice Kingdom, Aspen started disliking him. He decided he hated him after his mother died. Frost felt bad and tried to send him letters, but he ignored them. After a while, he forgave him, and sent him a letter back. They are still trying to repair their bonds.
Hazelnut and Aspen get along great! Their personalities complement each other, and they are good friends. He likes how fiery she is, and appreciates her help.
