Artemis is a female NightWing dragonet and the main protagonist of A Dark Sun. Artemis was born to a NightWing traveller, Pathfinder, under three full moons, granting her prophetic and mind-reading abilities.

Artemis has smooth purple-black scales, bright purple eyes and a silver tear drop scale. Her wings are black. She has powerful muscles and strong legs. She wears moon-shaped earrings on both of her ears.
Personality[]
Artemis is quiet, kind, brave, firm, determined and loyal. Although her politeness gets in the way a lot, she tries to stand up for what she believes. She hates when dragons yell at her. Daybreaker describes her as focused, shy and determined.

Daybreaker[]
Daybreaker is Artemis’ best friend and one-sidedcrush. She meets Daybreaker while travelling.
Her feelings for the SandWing grow after their journey through The Kingdom of Sand – Artemis says feels protected and safe when she’s is near him. However, she knows Daybreaker doesn’t feel the same way about her, so she tries to push these feelings away. Although he isn’t romantically interested in her, he is friendly and nice to Artemis.
Jade[]
Artemis and Jade get along for the most part. At the start of her journey to fulfilling the prophecy, the two dislike each other. Jade warms up to her and considers her as “almost a friend”. Artemis stands up for her when Eclipse calls RainWings lazy fruit-eaters.
Deathmaker[]
At first, Artemis is afraid of Deathmaker as she considers him dangerous to his assassin roots. However, Deathbringer’s lighthearted, charming and charismatic personality makes her quickly comfortable, and the two become friends. She is not as close to Deathmaker as she is to Daybreaker, but they are very friendly towards each other.
During the travel to High Point, Artemis and Deathmaker have a disagreement, but because of Artemis’ forgiving nature, the issue is quickly resolved.
Eclipse[]
Artemis doesn’t mind Eclipse. They are friendly toward each other. After Eclipse calls RainWings lazy, Artemis stands up for Jade and gets mad at Eclipse for being uneducated.
Evening[]
Evening and Artemis only meet one time, but they acknowledge each other respectfully.
