AOTAKE

A dragonet lounges on a window seat, yellow scales shining in the light of the sunset. She presses a scroll down with her talons as she rolls a round stone over her broad shoulders absently, working out the knots in the muscle. Scribbling a final note into the margins of the scroll, she blows on the ink to dry it faster. The stone rolls off the cushion she'd been lying on as she drops it and stands, arching her back for the audible pop as she cracks it. She sighs, squinting into the setting sun. Aotake winces as she realizes the time she's spent. Smoothing down her flamboyant spine with one hand, she scurries down the stairs. Despite her hurry, she carries herself upright, with a kind of comfort in her own skin that only comes from years of learning pride.

Aotake strives to appear distanced, but the youthful softness of her build betrays her. Despite the muscle she's worked hard to build around her limbs, soft flesh hugs the undersides of her arms and legs. SkyWings are known for a narrow frame with light bones, but Aotake is built fairly sturdily, with a square jaw and broad shoulders. She's taller than average for all of her tribes: Aotake is not designed for speeding through the air or weaving through the jungle, but she makes do. It's clear that her frame doesn't prioritize speed, but instead strength and endurance. She finds a delicate balance between the stern lines of muscle and the roundness of youth.
Her wings are feathered, gradienting from a spring green with blue tipping the wings. She longs for speed in the open air as all SkyWings do, but she's kept from it through her hybridization. Her prehensile tail elongates her, offering balance to her otherwise stocky frame. Softly curled horns curve upwards, following the line of her neck before angling up. They're short and easily kept out of the way. Aotake is all frills and fins, with a flamboyant LeafWing frill making its way down her spine, peaking at the joint where her neck meets her head. It's... energetic, some people say to sugarcoat it. Behind her ears resides another large frill, this one coming from her RainWing father. They flare up and flatten with her emotions as they peak and diminish.
She is colored in vibrant colors, albeit a little softer.

Her expression is often carefully frozen, in hopes of discouraging conversation. It often falls into a stern stare without her meaning to. She knows people will hate her for being a hybrid or part-Pantalan, and she tries to guard herself from it by appearing as intimidating as possible. Aotake holds herself up straight, something picked up from years of athleticism and the need to feel strong.

Aotake can often come off as cold or excessively formal upon first introduction. It stems from being nervous to talking to new people, but it can lead to people being thrown off. She struggles to drop the formality until she gets more comfortable.
