Angel is a rather distant, cold dragon who was hatched in the PoisonWing faction. She's very skittish and is somewhat of a ghost or legend to the LeafWings keen enough to spot her in the jungle undergrowth.
Biography[]
Angel's egg was originally found abandoned in the depths of the Poison Jungle by a group of PoisonWings returning from the Hives. Having just lost a few of their members, the group ended up taking the egg back to the PoisonWing camp where they intended on raising it alongside the other dragonets in the tribe.
Obviously, growing up she looked a lot different from the other LeafWings around her, and she became increasingly insecure of this. She was never bullied, but that only seemed to make the stares on her scales even more piercing. It was almost worse that she knew what they were thinking but would never say to her face.
She was never very good at any type of training within the camp. Any possibilities of her possessing leafspeak were quickly stomped out after multiple tests. This lead to her feeling even more useless alongside the PoisonWing faction.
Her insecurities began to make her distant, cold, and quiet.
Still, the PoisonWings seemed desperate to get any sort of use out of her. So, when she was around five, she was taken out with a patrol to train more in the jungle and get used to her environment better. Perhaps they were hoping something would awaken in her.
In an accident, Angel stumbled off the trail of safety between all the carnivorous and dangerous plants and was caught by a Venus Dragon-trap. The plant froze around her and shattered and she managed to escape it. The brush beneath her talons also froze while she was catching her breath as the other PoisonWings looked on in shock.
When Angel eventually calmed down, everything she touched stayed normal and she was escorted back to the PoisonWing camp. Although wary of the strange, new power, the PoisonWings wished to use it as a weapon, as the HiveWings seemed stronger and stronger with every passing day. At first, Angel felt that she finally had a purpose.
Even though she was young an inexperienced, the PoisonWings wanted to see if her powers would work on living dragons. They didn't want to risk any of their own lives as test subject and thought it would be dangerous to try and take a HiveWing for testing. So, a patrol was sent out to capture a SapWing.
Angel was lead to believe that she would be freezing a monstrous dragon that deserved to die. Instead, a LeafWing who looked no different than the dragons who had raised her was thrown at her talons. In a fit of rage, she turned upon the two PoisonWings that had brought her into the jungle and froze them.
