Appearance[]
Your eyes dart around the SapWing village, taking in the treehouses, vegetation, lanterns, and last but not least the dragons. Everything seems to fit a green-brown color scheme, with a flash of color here and there. Nothing too special is visible, and you're about to end your observation until you spy something standing out amongst the otherwise drab color theme.
Gold, yellow and orange, with- you look closer- butterfly wings.
You identify the source of the unusual sight quickly enough- a small dragonet, crouching on the forest floor, reading a book and clearly not wanting to be noticed.
You peer closer. Another dragon notices you observing them, and gruffly they say. "That's Acleris."
You nodd in acknowledgment and continue to observe them.
They're on the shorter end of the spectrum, definitely. There isn't much special when it comes to their build- they're not stocky or fat or slim... simply average.
You approach, trying not to seem to obvious that you're observing them. Their snout remains buried in their book, and they show no signs of noticing you.
Now that you're closer, you see they're fidgeting, tapping claws on the floor.
"I know you're watching me."
You jump.
"I'm not blind.", they say, turning their head towards you.
Now that you're closer, you see something unusual about their eyes. One eye is golden, and the other is blue and gold. Heterochromia? Was that what it was called?
You take in their colors. Their overscales are sun colors- gold and orange and yellow, no doubt what caught your eye. Their underbelly is a green on the paler side of the spectrum, and a darker green hue lies on their back fin. A mask-type thing, orange in color, surrounds their eyes. Their tapping claws are grey, standing out against their green and gold color scheme. Green tops their head.
Last but not least, you observe their build. They're mostly LeafWing, but their tail, horns, tail spikes, and underwing are different. Their upperwing has a few irregular yellow spots.
These traits belong to a SilkWing.
"I'm a hybrid." Acleris murmurs. "Anyone with half a brain would know that, after analyzing me the way you did."
Their bluntness startles you.
They hold out their talon. "Walk with me." It's a command, not a suggestion.
Taking their talon, they lead you into a small grove of willows.

- got eyed a lot by other students who were like "wtf is wrong with your wings and tail and horns"
- started questioning gender and sexuality about a year ago
