Acajou is a young MudWing/RainWing hybrid who is a member of the Runaways. He is the son of a RainWing named Carnation and a MudWing named Dragonfly.
During his early dragonethood, Acajou abused by his mother, but he was rescued by the Runways and is currently living in the ruins of the Island Palace with Caoba. He is currently ace heterosexual.
Appearance[]
Once you see Acajou, you at first don't see that he's a hybrid.
Acajou has the body of a MudWing. He has a flat snout, those small wings, and the scale plating going don his back. But he doesn't look tough like other MudWings do. He's rather sleek, and there's a look to him that tells you he doesn't eat much except for the occasional squirrel. He has a curled tail, not able to grip onto trees the way RainWings can, but still curled enough that you can notice. He also has a small horn on his snout and a smaller-than-average RainWing ruff.
His scales shift between different shades of brown, but not often, because he doesn't want other dragons to notice. His horns and claws are dark brown, and his underbelly is usually a tan-gold. His eyes are the color of pumpkins.
Personality[]
Acajou is very optimistic, and also perseveres. He's a very bouncy dragonet, and others might think of him as silly, but he just loves showing his enthusiasm. He's also very social, and Caoba almost has to drag him away from visitors to the island so that they don't get caught. He's very cooperative, and goes along with what his friends say.
But he gets disturbed easily with the sight of a dead body or blood. He also gets too fanatical of his mother and father finding him, and sometimes, he can't fall asleep as he is plagued by nightmares. He also is sometimes blindly obedient. He follows what his friends say without really an opinion of his own.
Abilities[]
Acajou has a combination of MudWing and RainWing abilities. He has fire infused with venom that he can only shoot when he is warm. The venom-infused fire comes out as a dark terracotta color, confusing many other dragons who at first thought he was just a MudWing. His fire doesn't eat away at dragons' scales like real venom does, it just burns the spot and makes it sting for hours afterwards. Acajou can also hold his breath for half an hour; not as long as other MudWings, but still quite a while. He is excellent at blending into mud puddles because of his scales that only change in shades of brown, helping him find the perfect shade to not be noticed.
Since he is so small, he is able to twist out of an opponent's grasp in a fight. He's not as strong as his MudWing counterparts, but he's still pretty tough. He's also quick-thinking, able to think of the right maneuver in the middle of a battle.

- He loves finding lost treasure on the island, and especially loves gold
- He always throws parties for Caoba to make her feel better
- He loves making Caoba play hide-and-seek with him by hiding from her
- He hates hurting other dragons, so he doesn't use his deadly fire much
- He is so scarred from his family that just the sight of a carnation makes him not be able to go to bed at night
