Introduction[]

Aaravos is a Startouch Elf, as well as the archmage of the Startouch Elves. Aaravos is a master of all six primal sources, as well as the reason mortal tribes gave dark magic. Aaravos was trapped on a magical prison and is known to be one of the strongest beings to have ever existed. It is said that not even the archdragons dared face him.

Appearance[]

Physical[]

Aaravos is a tall Startouch Elf. Even by elventribe standards he’s considered tall. Aaravos holds himself with an undeniable aura of power, pride, and confidence, concealing all other emotions with a smirk. He has sharply curved horns that have a secondary arch before leaning into their main one. They have four claws on all four talons, and ears pointed sharper than a mortal’s. He has a long mane of silky fur that extends down his back. His frame is graceful and sleek.

Coloration[]

Aaravos has a dark sclera, which is not completely black, but more so a very dark indigo. His horns are a lighter shade of violet, while his actual eyes change color based off of light. Typically they’re a striking amber color, but they also appear lilac, magenta, or light blue. Aaravos has a fade from light blue and up to darker blue on his body, and his face fades down into blue at his chest. He has a four-pointed star on his chest and his body is covered in small freckled white markings. It has three pale lilac Star markings beneath each of their eyes. His fur is a silvery white color.

Accessories[]

Aaravos often dons leather boots that extend a length up his limbs, as well as a long black cloak with an accompanying hood.

Scars[]

Aaravos has no known scars except for one on his palm from performing a spell with Viren.

Abilities[]

Tribal[]

Connection To The Stars: Being a startouched elf, Aaravos was created with a strong connection to the stars. He quickly grew to master the arcanum, and became one of the best Star mages in history.

Other[]

Magic Mastery: Becoming Archmage opened up new horizons for Aaravos to learn any and all forms of magic, and to gift Dark Magic upon mortals as well. He can also magnify another’s magic through possession, which makes them much stronger than they would’ve been.

His Familiar: Aaravos possesses a small creature known as the “Star-touched caterpillar” that was created from the combination of his and Viren’s blood. For a while it served as communication between Aaravos and Viren, allowing Aaravos to speak to the dark mage without the mirror. However, after Viren’s death, the caterpillar served no greater purpose than to help Claudia revive him, before it spun itself into a cocoon and emerged as The Being.

Manipulation and Lies: Aaravos is also skilled in the art of manipulation, and he uses his voice and insight to make it seem like he can get anyone whatever they want. He conned Viren into his service by promising him power and magic he never imagined, and Viren, intrigued, took him up on the offer. Aaravos also was known to have worked his way into the palaces of Kings and Queens, where he murmured in their ears, starting wars and wrecking havoc on the world.

Weaknesses[]

Power: Aaravos is a “fallen” startouch elf, meaning he can only access some of his power, though he is still incredibly powerful.

Greed: Aaravos’s greed resulted in his daughter’s death, as he could not bring himself to sacrifice his own life for hers.

Relationships[]

Avizandum[]

Aaravos despised Avizandum with every fiber of his being. He hated the King of The Dragons for being the reason he was sent to prison. Avizandum worked with the other archdragons to lure Aaravos into a vulnerable state, where they then imprisoned him and concealed his prison. He thoroughly enjoyed hearing Viren’s tale of how he and Harrow brought down the archtribe.

“What an incredible story. I am delighted you took down that arrogant monster.” -Aaravos to Viren about Avizandum

Azymondias[]

Aaravos wants nothing more than to kill Zym. He also wants to use Zym and drain him of his essence to fuel Viren’s magic. He was nothing more than a tool for Aaravos to use. Aaravos encouraged Viren to drain Zym of his essence.

Claudia[]

Aaravos thinks of Claudia as an asset. Once Viren died, Aaravos revealed his existence to Claudia, guiding her through the intense process it took to revive him. He informed her that their “guide” would emerge from a cocoon in the very near future. Aaravos manipulated Claudia’s need to revive her father, and used it to help further his plans.

On the other hand, Claudia thinks very highly of Aaravos, and regards him as someone who’s going to help humanity. She believes that Aaravos is a good elf who has faith in humanity and gifted them dark magic. Claudia goes to the length to defend Aaravos from her brother, and to try loyally to free him.

Aaravos came to Claudia’s aid and comforted her after her father’s sacrifice. He told her and Terry the tale of his daughter, and how she was taken from him. He explained that he wanted to reshape the world into a place his daughter would’ve appreciated. Claudia then performed the spell to free Aaravos with all of the requirements.

“Careful. If you tell the truth, you will lose her. You will need her soon.” -Aaravos to Viren about Claudia

Janai[]

Janai hates Aaravos with a passion. The Sunfire Elf Queen witnessed the murder of her sister, Khessa, by Aaravos. Janai was overwhelmed by grief and hatred for Aaravos after he killed Khessa and would’ve attacked him if she wasn’t held back by Amaya. Janai began having nightmares about Aaravos not long after.

Khessa[]

Khessa was the former Queen of the Sunfire Elves, and sister to the current Queen, Janai. Khessa was murdered by Aaravos, who told her how he killed her grandmother before disintegrating her with an ehcnatment.

Leola[]

Leola was Aaravos’s daughter. He regarded her as his whole world, and cherished her to the ends of the earth. Aaravos was presented with a choice, either he could die in his daughter’s place, or his daughter could die. In the end, Aaravos could do nothing but comfort Leola as she was cast out of the heavens. He cried for 100 years, creating the Sea Of The Castout. Leola is the whole reason that Aaravos wants vengeance on Xadia.

“Listen to the sound of my voice.” -Aaravos comforting Leola

Merciful One[]

The Merciful One consoled Aaravos after Leola was slain. They reminded him about how they were all stardust.

”We are all stardust. Held together by love.” -Merciful One to Aaravos

Pharos[]

Pharos was the Sunfire Elf that Aaravos possessed during his initial attack on Lux Aurea. He continued to control the elf to manipulate Karim into betraying his sister, Janai, and convince Sol Regem to attack Katolis. Pharos ended up being eaten by Sol Regem, and Aaravos could not have cared less.

Sol Regem[]

Sol Regem was manipulated and driven to death by Aaravos. He is known to the archdragon as “the betrayer”. Aaravos laughed as Sol Regem choked on Pharos’s body and died.

Stern One[]

The Stern One told Aaravos that Leola must die for upsetting the comic order. His words to Aaravos about the line between mercy and cruelty still reside with Aaravos to this day.

Team Zym[]

Aaravos despises most of Team Zym, for getting in the way of his plans, and halting his progress. He dislikes Rayla even more, for she caused the death of Viren, and put a two year delay in Aaravos’s ideal future. Aaravos has taken an interest in Callum, though. Callum has experienced using dark magic, and possession by Aaravos. Aaravos regards Callum as a useful pawn in his plan.

“Ah, the mortal mage. Already tainted by darkness, and destined to play right into my claws.” -Aaravos about Callum

Terry[]

Originally, Terry wanted to help Claudia free Aaravos to both help her and Viren, but mostly for her. Terry was wary of Aaravos, and thought his motives about his daughter were more driven by vengeance than love. In addition, he argued with Aaravos for not giving Claudia enough time to grieve for her father’s death.

The Being[]

The Being is the biological child of Viren and Aaravos. He was created through a spell and his first form was that of the star-touched caterpillar. The Being was used as vessel for Aaravos to communicate with Viren, and for Aaravos to possess others. The Being then spun a cocoon around itself and emerged later as a quadruped creature that resembled a star-touch elf but with large butterfly wings. The Being’s purpose after its growth was to be the guide for Viren, Terry, and Claudia. Aaravos informed Viren that he would have to sacrifice it in order to make the resurrection spell permanent. Viren refused, but Claudia went through with the spell, killing The Being and using his blood to finalize the spell.

Viren[]

Viren expressed a fascination with Aaravos’s mirror, and frustration that he could not figure out his it worked. Aaravos’s existence was soon revealed to Viren, and Viren watched him through the mirror. Aaravos soon performed a spell with Viren, which required both Viren and Aaravos’s blood, implying that it was forbidden magic. The result of this spell was the star caterpillar, which allowed Aaravos to speak to Viren through the mirror. Aaravos continued to con Viren in the direction that he wanted him to go.

Aaravos became Viren’s right hand man once Viren assumed the throne. Aaravos worked through Viren to cast the “Hearts Of Cinder Spell” which turned the entirety of Viren’s army into lava husks. Once Viren was revived, he had no communication with Aaravos until the day of his supposed-to-be death. Aaravos told him he must kill one of his children to make his revival permanent. Viren refused, saying he could never, and Aaravos merely laughed, and said that one of his children was made specifically for this purpose. Viren is confused and then horrified to find out that The Being was his son the whole time.

Viren rejected the spell and left to die peacefully on the forest, alone. Though Viren is responsible for Viren’s true demise (by sending Sol Regem to attack Katolis), he felt a pang of remorse for the deceased mage. He’d specifically chosen Viren because he saw the potential in the high mage, and he saw himself. The same ambition and desire for power. He praised Viren as a loving father and someone who would do anything for his family.

“Has our relationship truly escalated to this height? Am I your, ‘little bug-pal’?” -Aaravos to Viren
