A Romantic Date[]
Tarantula sighed. Her fourth try. Or was it her fifth? Whatever it was, it was annoying. The waitress, a large MudWing, stopped by. “Honey, he’s not coming. You might as well leave.” “Who says it’s a he?” Tarantula shot back. The waitress looked hurt. “Sorry, it is a he. I’m just a little frustrated. Thank you.” She got up and left.
In class, she found herself staring at Sugar. Again. She looked away. Maybe they notice, she thought. And that’s why they never come. She put her focus back on the teacher.
After class, she went to her locker to put away her books. A note fell out. Meet me behind the basketball court at lunch. S. Tarantula grinned. Was it Sugar? Does Sugar like her too?
After science, she flew to the basketball court. But instead of seeing Sugar’s beautiful scales of rainbow and white, she saw black and violet. A gorgeous NightWing stepped out. “Star?” Star was one of the popular jocks at school. “Hey,” he grinned, showing off his blue-violet wings. But Tarantula’s heart didn’t feel a thing.
They sat at table #9. “I could make you popular,” he flirted. Wow at least the others were smart, she thought. She took a deep breath. “Look, I think I’m a…” He looked at her curiously. She looked around and saw Sugar listening. This could be her chance!
“I think I’m a thespian,” Sugar sat back in disappointment. “Oh, well, if that’s what you want,” Star said. Tarantula grinned. “I like the dramatic arts too,” she facepalmed. “No! I like girls, stupid!” “But a thespian is an actress…” he said as he got up and shuffled away. Sugar was smiling.
“Hey,” Sugar sidled up to Tarantula, who blushed. “There’s this really nice place called Stilled Sandwiches. Do you wanna go? Six?” “Y-yeah, sure,” Tarantula stammered. “That’d be fun,”
Six. Stilled Sandwiches. No sign of Sugar. First time actually trying with people I like and she still shows me up. The waitress walked by. A purple SeaWing this time. “They’re not coming. You should probably just go.” Tarantula stood up. “You’re right,”
But then a white-rainbow whirl ran into the door and sat down right across from Tarantula. “Sorry I’m late,” she said. “I had to babysit for an hour, and the kid threw up when I specifically told him to not drink milk. He’s lactose intolerant. I can’t believe the parents keep hiring me!” Tarantula laughed.
After a lot of chatting, mostly about Harry Potter, They went outside for a walk. Suddenly Sugar’s face grew serious. “I’ve liked you for a long time, Tarantula. I was just so scared that you wouldn’t like me back. But then I heard you say that you liked girls to Star, and that made me more confident.” “I’ve liked you for a long time too, Sugar.”
And that was the worst shipfic ever made!!! You're welcome!!!
