(Quick note: This fanfiction sets place around 150 years after were the end of arc 3 of Wings of Fire. Due to this, SilkWings, HiveWings, and LeafWings are all not called legends, but have shifted into sayings and have left the land of Pyrrhia with some books. Example for a saying: "You'd have to fly to Pantala and back again before I agree." This is also going with the fact that there is no more animus magic, AT ALL! Right, enjoy the story)

Prologue - Prince Bright[]
The jungle was covered in a terrible rage as many dragons of rainbow and black shifted up to the throne. On the throne, there wasn't a queen or a princess. But the RainWings and NightWings of the jungle didn't seem to mind, at least, when it first happened a moon ago. But now, it seemed everyone was wondering why the prince was still sitting on the throne.
One NightWing was very vicious and interested about it as she spat at the royal RainWing with orange scales. "Prince Bright, the queen has been ill for a moon!" she hissed, seeming not to care about the royality. "How do we, the NightWings and RainWings, know that you didn't just poison her for control?!"
Bright didn't know how to respond to the deep green NightWing, but he couldn't think them or she would hear. Luckly, he didn't have to as a RainWing guard tapped his fangs of venom with his tongue. "How dare you assume something like that you untrustworthy NightWing?" the guard roared, his wings flaring and swirling with blacks and reds. "Silence," Bright begged, his frills twitching with unease, "please."
Bright flicked his tail for the guard to sit back down as he scrambled up to try and sit up more, but his head was still tense."The-" he began, his voice cracked before clearing his throat. "Queen Jungle's health was already failing before last moon. Surely you know Warbringer. Her scales lost their color, she could barely hear herself, and Jungle found it impossible to fly without taking a nap after." "Seems like a normal elder and a RainWing!" Warbringer spat, her silver teardrop scales below her eyes However, she didn't seem to want to push the issue as she turned her talons and bolted away.
Bright sighed and was able to call up but a dark green RainWing padded over. "Prince Bright?" the tall RainWing whispered, placing his golden frills close to his voice as if he was trying to keep it the message a secret. "Yes Parrot?" Bright asked, his orange yellow scales quivering. "Queen Jungle needs to see you, I can't share many details here," he whispered before quickly padding back into the room he came out of. "What does mother need that Parrot can't tell me here?" he thought and quickly shook his mind to thinking of rushing winds to prevent any mind reader NightWings.
Bright stood up taller and announced the whole two tribes. "Ev-- everyone! Listen up really quickly! I can't listen to all your questions and help now, I am needed somewhere else!" he stated, trying to back away his scales to turn to whites and sky blues. Most of the RainWings and NightWings nodded and scrambled out of the palace, their scales crashing. Some of the tribes citizens stayed a while but Bright quickly headed off, allowing his scales to turn to his emotions and allowed himself to panic.
The shifting RainWing turned into a small room with a wide stone, wrapped with jungle leaves and a slow body of ghost white and a sickly green. "Mother. . ?" Bright asked and was quickly shoved in between two RainWings, Parrot, who was gently soothing Jungle's rough talons. Jungle wasn't saying anything, but her dull eyes seemed to find some light and managed to give a small, croaked, smile.
"She's much more weak, her heart barely is beating, she's most likely not going to make to to the end of this night," the dragon next to Parrot mumbled and picked up a stone bowl and began mixing some plants. Bright nodded and crouched near the group. He found small tears forming as Parrot took the speaking. "Are you sure she had no heirs?"
Bright gave a shake of his head, staring at the body of Jungle, placing both his talons on Jungle's chest, wanting to feel her heart. For a second, he thought his mother was already dead. But Jungle's heart gave a weak beat. "The RainWings will understand that Bright has to rule til he has any daughters, but Queen Jungle always had to be harsher on the NightWings Parrot," the second RainWing mumbled from their plants and began to sooth it around Jungle.
Bright let out a small sigh and stared at Jungle. Her dull eyes seemed to flutter and close. (MORE COMING SOON)
