A rushing wind went through an entrance of a cave, inside of the cave, there was a NightWing with her tail curled around her three eggs, she fluttered her eyes open, and raised her head, a snap of a branch was heard, making her ears prick up, “Who’s there?” She said, her snake-like tongue flickered in and out, “Show yourself.”

A RainWing came out of the shadows of the cave, making her breathe a sigh, “I thought you left,” She snarled, the RainWing gazed at her with a smug expression, “I don’t want your egg anymore.” He spoke, he grabbed the egg with his talons, and he gently placed it down.

The NightWing glared at the dragonet, “I told you,” She said, “I can’t take care of the egg, that’s why I asked you.”

The RainWing scoffed, “I thought you loved me, I guess you never did.”

The NightWing’s eyes widened, “No! I do!” She said, “I really do, that is why I have your eggs.”

She sighed, and bounded to the dragonet, “Fine,” She snarled, “I’ll take it.”

He gave a smug look, which made her narrow her eyes, “Thank you,” He grinned, “I’ll never forget this!” He said as he bounded back into the shadows, the female dragonet flicked her tongue in-and-out, she’d grab the RainWing egg by her talons, and she’d saunter back to the nest, she’d gently place the egg down, and she sighed, and she laid back down, her tail curling around the nest, she glanced at the RainWing egg for a moment, and her eyes widened with surprise

Beware the moth that is tied around a dragoness

Its emotions seem innocent,

But darkness is behind them.

Whispers are tied around the unknown dragoness,

Telling them to follow the moths steps,

As the dragoness, distracted by the moth, follows its buzzing sounds

They are, in reality, approaching danger.

The NightWing shook her head, and her expression was surprising. My first prophecy! She was excited, yet scared at the sametime, she stood erect, wondering what it meant, “A moth?” She whispered, “What could a moth do? It’s not harmful at all.”

Suddenly, her eyes widened, “What if… He is the moth…?” She said to herself, “And he is leading one of my children to danger!”

She glanced back at the four eggs, and she breathed a sigh, “No,” She said, “I’ll protect them, he can’t do anything.”

She smiled, and her scales brightened as moonlight entered it, she bounded to her eggs, and she finally said, “I will always protect all of you.”

PART ONE: Running in Fields

It was a warm, sunny summer, a NightWing was laying on top of a sunny ledge, it was warm, and it made her feel comfortable, she had her eyes closed, but, suddenly, a small RainWing dragoness flew down the ledge, her wings flapping, once she had landed, she sheathed her wings.

“Whisperer!” Said the RainWing, Whisperer glanced at the RainWing, and sighed, “Yes, Atlas?”

Atlas and Whisperer are sisters, and they were inseparable, though, when they grew up, Whisperer has been focusing on the history of her home, so they didn’t get to talk much, “I found something cool!” Atlas said cheerfully, Whisperer glanced at her with an eyebrow raised, “Did you find a weird caterpillar?” She asked, Atlas stared at her with her eyes narrowed, “No,” She growled, “It's something cool! I really want you to check it out!”

“It better be cool,” She said, her tongue flicking in and out, Atlas rolled her eyes, she bounded to the ledge, and she flapped her wings, she bounded closer to the high-ledge, and she leaped down, Whisperer darted to the ledge, and stopped her tracks once she went near, she glanced down with a worried expression, Please don’t die, please don’t die, please don’t— Suddenly, Atlas flung herself high up in the air, and stopped flying when she reached the ledge.

“You cared for me,” She said in awe, Whisperer narrowed her eyes at Atlas, “I didn’t, I knew you would survive.” She hissed, Atlas snickered, “Whatever, I know you do anyway.”

Whisperer snarled, “Can you just lead me to this place?” Whisperer said impatiently, Atlas nodded, still hovering, Whisperer bounded closer to the ledge, and she flapped her wings, her talons were released from the grassy-ledge, and she began to hover.

“Woah,” Atlas said, “You can fly now? Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because, well, I didn’t see you, I just learnt how to fly today.” Whisperer revealed, “Sorry for not telling.”

“It’s fine!” She said, she spun away back to the place where she flew down from, and she began to fly toward the place.

Whisperer was still hovering over the ledge, and she simply gazed at her for a moment, she began to frown, gazing away with a gloomy expression, she felt guilty, she felt guilty over something.

She shook her head, her eyes narrowing, she wanted to tell Atlas something, but she knew it had to be a secret, it was her mother’s wish, and she can’t break that wish.

“Whisperer!” Atlas called, “C’mon!”

“Coming!” Whisperer called after her, and she flew away to follow her sister to this strange place.

“Cool, right?” Atlas asked, Whisperer’s eyes widened as she gazed at all of the dead dragonet bodies, she glanced back at Atlas, with a confused, yet terrified expression, “What happened here?” Whisperer said, Atlas simply shrugged, which made Whisperer even more confused.

“Must’ve been a huge war,” She assumed, “And, by the looks of it, it looks like the SandWings and SeaWings.”

Whisperer glanced at the bodies, and spotted some poisonous barbed tails, Atlas was right, it was a war between the SeaWings and SandWings.

Atlas gasped, “We forgot!” She exclaimed, Whisperer raised an eyebrow, “Forgot what—” Atlas immediately grabbed Whisperer’s hand, and she flung both of them up in the air, “DINNER!” She exclaimed loudly.

A NightWing with purple markings took a bite of an enormous pig, chewing it, and then swallowing, he’d then glance at Whisperer, “So,” He said, “Where have you and Atlas been?”

Whisperer glanced at him, almost frozen, “Oh, uh…” She opened her mouth to say something, but then closed it, and began to hesitate.

What should I say? I can’t just tell him that we found a huge pile of dead bodies.

“Why should we care?” A white dragonet flicked his tongue in and out at the NightWing, “Sorry, Oleander.” The NightWing told him, “Whatever,” Oleander snarled, and took a huge chunk of meat from the dead body of a cow.

“Cursedfate! Guess what?” She interrupted the dinner, and she quickly stood, Whisperer swallowed, Please don’t tell him…

Cursedfate glanced at the orange RainWing with a tilted head, “What is it?” He asked, tempted, “I found a weird–-looking moth, it looked like me.” She said, Cursedfate breathed a sigh of disappointment, “That is an Atlas moth, you are named after them.”

“Cool!” She said, and then laid beside Whisperer, “I really did see that moth,” She said, “it was on an oleander flower.”

“Cool,” Whisperer said, distracted, “I saw one too.” She lied without knowing.

“Cool.” Atlas said, bored, she then took a bite of her prey, Whisperer simply glanced at Cursedfate, He knows.
