Hoax opened her eyes. Her wrists, wings, tail, and legs were chained to a wall. Her freshly sewn together mouth hurt and leaked a bit of blood. Her missing eye also dripped blood from it. The missing eye had recently been replaces by a button. Great... She thought bitterly. I'm still trapped in the Tarantula outpost. Moons I'm getting sick of this place. I suppose it doesn't matter now, for I will soon die anyways. She pushed herself up into a sitting position. She saw Barklice walk past her cell. I hate that dragon... He's kin to that... Creature he calls a mother. Vespid, I believe her name was. She let out a hiss, causing him to turn to her. "Oh, I see you're awake. I hope that you enjoy mother's new modifications." Barklice smiled. "They will be permanent, Silent one." He hissed. Hoax hissed and lunged towards Braklice. The chains prevented her from reaching the bars. She fell on the ground instead. Barklice laughed at that "You amuse me, Silent one." He walked off.
Hoax paced in her cell. Or tried to, the chains didn’t allow her to go very far. She heard the sounds of fighting, quite close to her cell. She saw a yellow and brown hivewing run over to her cell. He was holding keys. He unlocked the door to Hoax’s cell. A guard tackled him. He fought back, he kicked him off. There was a sickening Crack. Noise as the guard’s body came in contact with the stone wall of the inside of the prison complex. The male hivewing stood, dusting himself off. “I’ve come to rescue you!” He said. ‘Why…’ Hoax signed, “Did you save me?’ “Well I uh…” He said. “I thought you needed to be saved.” He trailed off. ‘It was a waste of your time to free me…’ She signed.
Hoax was now traveling with the male hivewing, hiding from Vespid’s troops. The male hivewing had called himself Parasite. His other companion, Olios, was also traveling with them. Of course they had to ‘Rescue’ me and ruin my plans. She thought. I was just fine in that cell. “Did we really have to bring that with us?” Olios asked. “The Smiler is freaking me out, man!”Parasite looked at Hoax for a while. He finally spoke. “Maybe we should nickname her Glossophobia.” Hoax hissed and flicked her tail. I will not be nicknamed after the fear of speaking.“Maybe not then.” Olios said. “But on a serious note… why did we ‘free’ her anyways?” He made air quotes around the word free. “I don’t think we did anything.” Parasite stated simply.
