Explaining the AU[]
OK, In this AU, if you write something on your body with anything, it will appear in pen on your soulmates arms. It is possible for soulmates to be from different tribes, or be the same gender. Plus, if your soulmate dies or if critically injured, a message will appear in red in saying: 'Your soulmate has Vanished/Your soulmate if Vanishing'.
Part 1:Messages[]
Chapter 1: What?![]
Pov: Winter[]
Winter still hadn't received a message from his soulmate. Narwal was very disappointed when Winter turned five and still received nothing. "What is taking her so long?" Winter asked.
"Don't ask me, she's YOUR soulmate," His mother, Tundra, replied. Winter decided not to wait any longer, and at school, he borrowed a pen and wrote: 'Hi, soulmate, what's your name?' And waited to receive the message.
Chapter 2: IceWing![]
Pov: Qibli[]
Qibli was in Thorn's tent when he received his message: 'Hi, soulmate, what's your name?' Qibli must have said something, because Thorn looked up from her scroll. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Are you ok?"
Qibli smiled from ear to ear. "They wrote to me!" He said. "Quick, give me that pen!" Thorn threw a pen at him, and Qibli wrote: 'Hi, I'm Qibli, what's yours?' Thorn came over as he rubbed the ink off. Then... 'I'm Winter'
Thorn gasped. "An ICEWING?! Qibli, Ask them their age!" He complied, writing: 'What's your age? I'm 5'
Chapter 3: A male SandWing[]
Pov: Winter[]
Winter was reading a scroll when he got his answer: 'Hi, I'm Qibli, what's yours?' "MOTHER!" Winter shrieked. "MY SOULMATE IS A SANDWING!" Tundra came running into his room, at the same time another message appeared: 'What's your age? I'm 5'
"Winter, is your soulmate a SANDWING?!" she asked. "This is unacceptable! Why not an IceWing?" As Tundra continued to blabber, Winter wrote back:
'I'm also 5, are you going to JMA?' After a few minutes, his answer was:
'Yes, how about you?'
W: 'Yes, I was hoping to be in the Jade winglet'
Q: 'I don't really care, as long as I'm with you. Also, are you a male?'
W: 'Yeah, you?'
Q:'yup'
Part 2:Jade Mountain Academy[]
Chapter 4:The meeting[]
Pov: Qibli[]
Qibli waited at the entrance of JMA. A group of IceWings were coming from the north, but were still far away. He had received Winter's latest message a few minutes ago: 'I can see Jade Mountain in the south.' The founders were putting soulmates together, and his and Winter's cave was ready for when he arrived. He couldn't wait to meet him in person-er-dragon. He looked up again and saw the IceWings nearing JMA. One of them had his eyes on Qibli, And that was unmistakably Winter. A thrill went trough his body as he thought of finally holding Winter's talons in his own.
Chapter 5: Qibli[]
Pov: Winter[]
There he was. Standing there waiting for him. As he landed in the entrance, Qibli came over. "So, you're Winter, right?" He was trying to sound casual, but Winter could see the joy and love in his eyes. He felt the same way, but couldn't express himself in front of the IceWing students.
"Yes, I am indeed Winter," He replied. Qibli replied with a stupidly handsome grin.
"Come on, then, I'll show you our cave." As he followed Qibli to a cave around the corner, and was awestruck with what he saw. There was a pile of snow and ice in a corner, with a scroll that said: You need to use frostbreath on this so it doesn't melt. On the other corner, there was a big pile of sand and some camel-hair cushions.
Winter turned to face Qibli, and said, "This is awesome!"
Chapter 6: The kiss (Kinda)[]
Pov: Qibli[]
That night, Qibli couldn't sleep. He had finally met Winter! And he was as handsome as I thought! He grinned at the memory of their wings brushing, Of the way Winter looked at him. He will probably be my boyfriend soon, he thought. Boyfriends. He liked that thought. He was looking forward to one thing in particular, though. Their first kiss. He wondered who would be the one to take that first step. Probably Winter, I'm WAY too shy. In the Morning, They went to meet their winglet. (I'm lazy, so here) Skywing: Carnelian Rainwing: Kinkajou Nightwing: Moon Seawing: Turtle Mudwing: Umber /Sandwing: Qibli Icewing: Winter. After that class, Umber and Turtle went swimming, Moon and Kinkajou Went to the library and Carnelian went to grump at some Rainwings at the prey center.
Chapter 7:The kiss (Ok, This time for real)[]
Pov: Winter[]
Well, THAT was boring. Winter thought. Why do we need their names and know all their favorite stuff?! As Winter passed a few small caves with nothing in them, talons came out of one and pulled him inside. "What the...- QIBLI!" He shouted. "WHY would you DO THAT?!" Then he realized how close he was to Qibli and tried to scoot back a bit. But instead he fell over.
"Winter, You are hilarious!" Qibli laughed. His laugh made Winter want to grab Qibli's face and kiss him. Qibli was laughing so hard that he fell over. On top of Winter. Winter huffed indignantly, and ended up even more squashed against the wall.
Crap, WHY IS QIBLI SO F#(K!NG $3XY?! Winter thought. Then, his talons moved before his brain told them to, and he pushed Qibli against the wall and kissed him.
Chapter 8:The start[]

As Winter kissed him, Qibli's brain went into hyperdrive. I knew it! He was gonna take the first step! He is a good kisser. Kinda cold, though. What if someone sees us? I really hate gossip. WIP
