Appearance[]

Lynx has the body shape of an IceWing, with a very faint trace of NightWing in her face. Her scales are a darker silver color, with lighter silver underscales. She has a few spikes along her spine, resembling those of an IceWing's, except for the end of her tail, which is bare of spikes. Her wing membranes are a darker silver color, darker than her scales, and they have the starry pattern that the NightWings have. She also has dark green eyes., and three teardrop-shaped scales running down her neck.

Personality[]

Lynx is quiet, at least on the outside. She is intelligent, and is very detail-oriented.

Not many dragons really know her, besides North Star, her sister, and she tends to stay away from socializing. When someone riles her up, though, she will unleash her hidden side.

She refers to herself as "quiet, but deadly." She is an excellent fighter, as in one-to-one combat, but flying or long-range combat, not so much. She also knows when she is outnumbered, and doesnt engage in a fight that she knows she can't win.

Lynx prefers not to make many friends, and her social skills are not that great. She is usually emotionless, having a semi-great control over what feelings she allows to express. If something really surprises her, or scares her, etc., she can't control it.

Sometimes, she feels exposed without fire or frostbreath, but with her sister by her side, she feels more confident in her skills in battle.

History[]

Lynx and North Star hatched in the Sand Kingdom, near the Scorpion Den. Their parents were nowhere in sight, but they did spot a SandWing, not far in the distance. The abandoned sisters raced over to the unfamiliar SandWing, who was hunting, and they immediately got scolded. The SandWing shooed them away, then stopped, asking them where their parents were. Confused, the two sisters replied that they didn't have parents. The SandWing, Wasp, a grieving mother who had lost her three eggs to a crowd of rowdy SandWings in the Scorpion Den, adopted the two sisters, naming them Lynx and North Star, figuring that they were hybrids of Ice and NightWings.

Wasp brought Lynx and North Star to her home in the Scorpion Den, a well-hidden place near the south-eastern wall. They didn't have easy access to the Oasis, but Wasp hunted every day to gather cacti, food, and even the occasional water. She cared for Lynx and Star like they were her own dragonets. Lynx grew to accept and love her adoptive mother.

Since they lived in the Scorpion Den, Wasp taught the sisters to be crafty, intelligent, and stealthy, trained them fighting strategies, and gave them advice on how to make up for the loss of frostbreath or fire.
