How glad I am I found you! My name is Marine. I'm a 12 year old SeaWing soldier in Blister's army, but I never liked the war. I hope we can be friends through the usage of letters. I saw you at the coast battle, at the last full moon. You seemed so nice, and compassionate, that if not for our tribes war, I'd want to make friends with you at once! I attach a drawing of myself. Thank you for your letter. And the picture too. Yes, I remember you. You're the SeaWing who jumped in front of the fire blast to save your general. I would like a friend on the opposite side. As you may know, I'm a soldier in Queen Blaze's army. Are you a soldier in Blister's by choice? Please answer my question.

If I'd been given a choice, I would have picked Blaze. From what I've heard, she's nicer than Blister or Burn. I can remember one battle against the SkyWings, led by Burn and Queen Scarlet, and it was awful! My father, General Krait, was killed! Honestly, if you SandWings want Blaze as queen, can't you say so? I would add more, but Kelp's coming down the corridor, and he'll immediately go and tell Queen Coral, and if you knew how cruel her punishments were, you'd know how I feel.

I understand completely. Queen Glacier once ripped a SkyWing's throat out just because he threatened Queen Blaze. It was disgusting! My last letter was found by my best friend, Siberian the IceWing. I told him about you, and he said he'd like to send letters to you as well. I hope you don't mind. I've been sending them via Arid, a dragonet in the Talons of Peace. How have you been sending yours?

Marine told me about you. I'm Everglades. I used to have a sister, who worked for the Talons of Peace. Her name was Asha. I also have three other sibs, Cattail, Crocodile and Myrtle. Don't worry, they know nothing about you. I may be a MudWing, but I started sending letters like this to Marine! Myrtle knows about it, but no one else does. Did you hear about the prophecy? In four years, the war will be over! The Dragonets of Destiny are going to stop it! Hold on, I have to sing the song. Oh, the dragonets are coming, they're coming to save the day! Cattail and Crocodile looked pretty fierce, but Myrtle was so vulnerable looking! I wanted to help you immediately. I wish we could meet, but we're on opposite sides. It's not possible.

The worst thing happened earlier. We were fighting the SkyWings, and Siberian was taken prisoner! He'll be forced to fight in the SkyWing arena. No one leaves that place alive. I'm going to join the Talons of Peace. There'll be no more fighting.

I'm so sorry! Siberian seemed so nice! I'm on my way to the Talons now. I stopped for a break. I have a brother there, Nautilus. He's their leader. I guess we won't be needing letters after this. I also have something to tell you. I think- I think I love you. I hope we can be together.

Authors note
Marine and Xerocole did find the Talons of Peace. They did have a happy ending. They are currently raising two dragonets on an island in the Bay of a Thousand Scales. Their dragonets are called Coast and Sandy. Everglades and Myrtle live in Possibility. And we all know what happens to Crocodile...
